I woke up the next day to see the morning sunlight barely streaming through the cracks of the curtains. I checked the time and saw that it was only 7.30. I sighed and trudged upstairs to get changed for my morning workout but stopped outside my door just when I was about to open it. Demi was inside, sleeping on my bed. Or was she awake? Do I knock? It was my own bedroom. I shook the thoughts out my head and gently knocked. If she was awake, she would answer and if she wasn't, I'd just be quiet while grabbing my clothes and hope that I don't wake her up. I waited a while for her answer but it never came. Shrugging, I quietly opened the door and walked in. Only thing different from last night after I placed her from the bed was that she wasn't on the bed. She laid sleeping, sprawled on the floor with her eyebrows furrowed and mouth slightly open. I smiled at the sight and felt my heart warm. "How long have you been lying down there?" I muttered under my breath and made my over to her. "Dems, wake up." I gently shook her and tried to wake her up. Guess what? She didn't even twitch. I knelt there, thinking over my options.

1) Carry her up to the bed and let her rest properly for a while more.

2) Keep trying to wake her.

3) Go for my workout then try to wake her up after.

She did look comfortable with my blankets wrapped around her. She even got a pillow under her head somehow.

I looked over at the corner where her head nestled with the pillow and something else. I blushed hard upon noticing that it was a stuffed chicken that followed me around until I left for college. I left it at home but whenever I came back, I'd be the happiest girl on earth just to be able to sleep with it in my arms. I sighed and ran my head through my hair, "here goes nothing." I slid my arms under her neck and knees before gently lifting her up and placing her on the bed. I stayed still as she shifted and the frown on her forehead deepened. Demi's eyes slowly fluttered open and her eyes widened when she realized the position we were in. It wasn't anything compromising, just really awkward. "Uhh... hi?" I slid my right arm out from under her knee and rubbed the back of my neck nervously. My left arm was unfortunately trapped under her neck and the other pillow I had laid her down on. She realized quickly enough and lifted her head enough for my arm to slip out.

"I'm sorry. You fell asleep last night and I carried you up here. I slept on the couch because I didn't want you to think anything weird or anything. I came in to get clothes to go workout but you were on the floor and I wanted to get you up to bed." Demi's eyes widened as she blushed, then threw her head back and started laughing really hard. I frowned, confused for a second before realizing what I said. "No, that's not what I meant." I rambled to save myself from the big hole of embarrassment I dug myself into and slowly felt the blush go up my cheeks. "Don't worry about it. I'm sorry for falling asleep and taking up your bed." Demi gave me a warm smile and chuckled at my still red face. Her raspy voice morning voice gave me chills but I brushed it off with a shrug and gave her a half smile. My heart was almost beating out my chest. "Don't worry about it." We stayed there for a while, enjoying each other's presence until it started becoming awkward. "I should go grab my clothes." I went to walk to my closet but a hand gently grabbed mine. "I work out in the mornings too but not as early as you do. It's almost 8 and I usually start at 8.30 What do you say we just stay in bed until then and we can workout together later?" My mind immediately went to Demi sweating in workout clothes and felt my mouth dry. Cat got my tongue and I blushed even harder, if that was even possible. I looked over to Demi already getting under the covers again while she looked at me, waiting for an answer. It was as if she didn't just fully process what she said before she said it. She looked so comfortable and adorable in my bed though. Do you really want to leave her there alone, cold, while you workout? Missing the chance to watch her workout as well? I shook the thoughts out my head. I scanned the bed. Her bed hair, raspy voice and already peaceful look as she snuggled into the warm covers. I could only gulp and walk towards her and the bed.
