I didn't let anything show. I tried my best not to. I kept glancing back to where Mel was seated and she was still glued to her phone. It finally pieced together why she froze up when I told her Mel was coming along and why her voice went deeper. We finally arrived at the auto shop. There was a heavy tension in the car after Mel made the great reveal. Demi Lovato. I knew that I knew that name. Makes sense? I was never one for Disney original series or movies, always the classics. Never one for pop songs by Disney kids or Disney alums. Mel on the other hand was really obsessed with Disney.

We were following Demi until we stopped in front of my car. My baby was all good and I couldn't wait to take her out for a spin. Demi had her shades still on though the sun already set while we were on the way. "Miss Lo-" "Demi's fine." I watched as Demi cut the guy off. "This beauty is as good as new. She's ready to go." Demi smiled at him gratefully as she walked around to inspect my car. "Thanks for fixing it first on such short notice, Danny." I walked over to Danny and put my hand out. "Thank you, really. I don't know how long I could've lasted without her." Danny let out a full hearted laugh and pat my baby's top. He did not just. "My pleasure, kid. You're just lucky you're Demi's friend. I don't randomly take priority requests." I forced a smile out at him and turned to my baby. "Let's go home. How much do I owe you, Danny?" He smiled and gave us a wink. "It's all prepaid for, kid."

I told Mel to get in the car first. She was still still glued on her phone and hasn't realized that we were with Demi Lovato, the one that she gushed about on and off for years when she slid into the passenger. "I know who you are, you know." I turned to Demi and watched as her face dropped. She took off her shades and sighed. "I figured I couldn't keep it from you long." I felt bad for her in a weird kind of way. "Where are you headed?" I looked over to Mel and then back to Demi. "Mel wants to have pizza for dinner so we're stopping by Joe's." I sighed and looked at her expectantly. I didn't know what I was expecting if I was being honest. "Al, I'm hungry." Demi's eyes widened comically and she scrambled to place her shades back on. "Oh my god. You're Demi Lovato." Shit. "Get into your car and meet me at my place in an hour. Go." Demi looked torn between following what I said and staying. I started pushing her in the direction of her car. "She's a crazed fan for as long as I can remember. You really might want to go." Demi gave me one last look and got in.

"Alexandra Ashley Johnson. You didn't tell me you knew Demi Lovato? I've been obsessing over her since I was 5." Mel started firing questions at me right as Demi drove off and began hitting me repeatedly. "Calm the fuck down. I didn't even know it was Demi Lovato until you dropped the bomb earlier. Get in. We're meeting her back home in an hour. Joe's?" Mel nodded and quickly slid in. "Demi Lovato is going to be in our house? How did you two meet?" Questions started flooding my ears and I sighed. This was going to be a long hour.

After countless of questions and a much longer trip home, we arrived 45 minutes later and Mel rushed in, saying something about looking presentable. I rolled my eyes and placed the pizza takeout box in the dining area and plopped on the couch. I closed my eyes and leaned my head back. This has been a very confusing weekend trip back home.

I woke up to footsteps bounding down the stairs and a slap to the back of my head. "Al what the fuck is wrong with you? Demi has been knocking for the past 5 minutes." I groaned and stood up, walking towards the door behind Mel.
