Chapter 13. Not the Chosen One? (Edited)

I wasn't the chosen one? How? I mean Will and I are the only wolves that have powers and I don't understand, who else would it be? I sat there frozen, stiff with shock.

"Zek." Willow said. "Are you okay? Zek? Zek!"

"Who is the chosen one then? Where can we find him?" I asked Luna. She looked at me quizzically before giving me an answer.

"I can't tell you where he is, or really who he is, but I can give you his name."

"What is it?"

"His name is Ruben."

"Ruben?" We all said. Never in my life have I met someone named Ruben.

"The Full Moon Pack can't fight this war. We just recovered from the attack and we already had heavy losses. There's no way we can win this war on our own." Lukas said.

"I know, that's why you have to unite with the rest of the packs."

"Wait what?! I thought the Full Moon Pack was the last pack to ever exist." Liam said.

"No, they lied to you only for your protection. Once upon a time everyone was apart of the Greater Wolf Pack, but the thought of the war made them break away into seven packs. The Wolf Blood Pack, the Moon Beam Pack, the Golden Pack, the Starlight Pack, the Greystone Pack, the Red Moon Pack, and the Crescent Moon Pack. The people who remained loyal changed the name to the Full Moon. You need to reunite with the packs and become the Greater Wolf Pack again."

"We have one month to become allies with seven packs, that's a little unfair." Alexis said.

"I made it easy for you. The seven packs are allies, if you become an ally with their leader, then you are allies with all seven."

"Okay. Which pack is the leading pack?" Lucy asked.

"The Greystone Pack." Willow yawned.

"Do you think we can do it beautiful lady." She chuckled at the name.

" Of course you can little one. As long as you heed my warning and do as I suggested." Mariah yawned.

"You guys must be tired. You can sleep here."

"Really." Willow said.

"Sure! Let me show you where you will be sleeping."

Her home may be small on the outside but on the inside it really huge. She has like, twelve bedrooms in here! I flopped on the bed still thinking about all the things she said. There are more wolves out there. Maybe Ruben is in one of the packs. I sighed and after an hour of laying there, I get bored and talk to Kaden. Well, at least try to.

"You may not be tired but some of us are trying to get some sleep. We have a big day tomorrow."

'I know but, how can you sleep with all of that information we were just given! We aren't the chosen one! Doesn't that bother you!'

"Not at the current moment because I'm trying to SLEEP!"

'Whatever.' Then I hear a knock on the door.

"Come in." Luna walked in and closed the door behind her.

"Hey. What's up?"

"I came to tell you not to worry."

"What are you talking about? I'm not worried about anything I'm fine!"

"You do know that I can see the future ,right?" I mentally face palmed. Of course she would have seen me worrying.

"Ruben will appear when you need him most and will fight with you. Don't worry about finding him. He will find you."

"So all that training was nothing."

"No, it will come in handy when you need it. Just don't be afraid, now rest child." I nodded yawning and then she left the room as sleep finally found me.

I shift, uncomfortably, in my sleep. No matter how I turned I couldn't get back in that comfortable position. Oh well, I guess that means I have to wake up. I open my eyes and see grass. Grass? What I am I doing outside? I sit up and see everyone else sleeping in the grass as well and that the little house was gone. There was no trace of it. I tried to pick up a scent but she was long gone, it was like she never even existed.

" Hey guys, wake up! Lukas, Mariah, Liam, Lucy, Ryan, Alexis, Willow, up!" Lucy groaned as she muttered something while she held onto Lukas tighter. Mariah whined about not wanting to get up yet. Ryan curled Alexis into him and Liam told me to shut up. Willow was the only one who sat up.

"Zek! What are we doing outside? Where did the beautiful lady go?"

"I don't know. I need you to help me wake these guys up." She stood up with a mischievous smile on her face.

"Easy." She made a giant block of ice appear over them. "Hit the ice with a fireball." I smiled and nodded as I did so. The ice melted and all of the water landed on them. It was to perfect actually. The wet wolves growled at me when the got up.

"I told you to wake up earlier." I said innocently.

"Well, you didn't have to soak us." Willow used the wind to blow dry them so they weren't as mad. Then they noticed that the house was gone.

"Where did Luna go?" Lucy asked.

"I don't know, I was hoping you would tell me. When I woke up everything was gone."

"Strange." Mariah said.

"Speaking of Luna, we need to talk about the other packs. We have little time left and we need to reunite with the packs soon. So I have decided that I am going to look for the Greystone Pack and convinced them to join us."

"Well if your going th-"

"No you are not. Your staying here, where it's safe. Liam you are in charge until I get back."

"No way am I going to let you go alone with no backup. I'm going too."

"I'm going where my mate is going." Mariah said.

"I'm going too." Ryan said.

"I go where Ryan goes." Alexis said.

"I'm going." Lucy said.

"But-"

"That's not up for discussion I'm going with you whether you like it or not."

"Fine." Lukas said as Lucy gave him a victorious smirk.

"Well then I might as well join the party too." I said.

"I am going to go as well." Willow said. The group looked at her. I turned and looked her too. My little sister, almost the exact replica of our mother. I frowned at the thought of her getting hurt.

"Even if you say no, I'll still follow you guys anyway." She said. The group looked at me

"Is it okay with you?" I linked Lukas.

"She is old enough to take care of herself and she has been trained for various situations. I think that you should let her go, but it's still up to you though." I looked down at Willow, here brown eyes staring into mine.

"Fine. You can go." She smiled and hugged me. I hugged her back.

"Alright then, let's find the Greystone Pack!"
