"Why are you doing this?" I asked quietly. He chuckled humorlessly. "Because she's gone. What's the point?" He answered. I let out a soft sob at his reply. "Is that really what you think? Do you think she'd want you to be living like this?" I asked, a tear sliding down my face. "Of course not. But what she wants isn't possible," he retorted. "What does she want?" I asked slowly. "For us to be together," he replied, walking away. I didn't chase after him. I was too shocked.
