Part 105: Slightly Stupid Rant

Someone pushed... no... PULLED me into a lake.

After telling my friends they liked me.

Keep in mind that I don't know how to swim at all and panic in water. I think I might be slightly phobic. I have deep water and can't go higher than waist-deep before feeling sick and panicky. My chest constricts and I can't breathe.

I was on a trip with a program I joined over the summer - I know, late - and we went to a lake. I was wearing jeans and my friend let me borrow some shorts, insisting that I should get into the water. They were pretty short, so immature guys... Anyway... I was wading in the water with my friend and someone asked me, "Hey, (name)... What would you do if I pulled you into the water?"

I said, "I'd be fucking pissed. I probably wouldn't want to talk to you anymore."

He just smiled and I told him he better not fucking dare. Later, he called my name and threw himself toward me, grabbing me by my shoulder and pulling me down with a loud splash.

I started panicking because the water went over my head. I coughed and water went up my nose and mouth. I used him, I don't know what part of him, to get up. I started coughing furiously. He saw that I was pissed and left me alone while I glared at him.

About an hour and a half later, he did it again. I wasn't expecting it to happen again and thus was in deeper. It HURT. I panic so badly in water and was completely drenched, so we decided to just not go into the water anymore.

What I hated the most is that he didn't even apologize. He still hasn't and this was like a month ago. I spoke to him a lot the summer before, but this summer I didn't. I didn't even consider him a FRIEND this summer. He stared at me a lot in class and I didn't really talk to him.

That's why I have decided to ignore him next time I see him. I know, PETTY. I'm going to greet his old friend, they don't talk anymore because they both 'like' me, and his current friends and just glaze over him, shooting him a slight glare whenever he tries to talk to me.
