Fragile Heart

Chapter Thirteen

Maaga ako nagising ngayon.We have been talking all night. Napasarap ang usapan at hindi namin namalayan na umaga na pala nang nag paalam kami. I made sure na hindi ko ulit ipapahintay si Dylan like yesterday. I made sure to take a bath early. I wore a simple dress.  Ilang minuto pagkatapos kong kumain ay dumating si Dylan para sunduin ako. Mom and dad was kind of shock to see another guy fetch me instead of Isaac. They wanted to ask questions and it shows in their face. Si kuya naman ay walang sinabi. Dylan showed them respect and greeted them properly.

Dylan was a gentleman. He opens the door for me as we reach his car. He drove safely to school but my mind keeps drifting apart as we were going near my school. This cold feeling struck me. Nanlalamig ako ng dahan dahan pumarada si Dylan sa tapat ng high school gate ng paaralan namin. Me and Isaac. I still haven't talk to Isaac. His been texting me the whole night pero late ko na nabasa dahil sa paguusap namin dalawa ni Dylan. Kinakabahan ako. Am I ready to talk to him?

"Are you okay? Parang nakatulala ka lang. May problema ba?" He asked with his face full of curiousity. It is too obvious that I was worried. I gave him a small smile and tap his shoulder.

"No, nothing Dyl. Thank you for the ride! Be careful on your way to school." Minadali kong buksan ang pinto at agad lumabas. I gave him a wave.

"Bye Coleen, Reminding you about later evening okay? You can't back out." he reminded me with a smile. I gave him a nod as I was slowly walking. Hinintay ko na makaalis ang kotse niya bago ako tuluyan pumasok sa gate. Its 7:30 am. It's still early.

"Coleen!" Someone called my name, I looked at her and my adviser came walking to where I was. I give her a smile and wave.

"Good Morning po." I greeted her when she arrived to where I was. She gave me a smile and greeted me too.

"I nearly didn't recognize you! Ang ganda mo ngayon Coleen." She cheerfully complimented me. I touched my hair still naninibago sa ginawa ko sa buhok ko. I gave her a smile as a thank you. We started walking together going inside the campus.

"Can I ask you a favor? Total early pa naman. Pwede mo ba ako samahan sa faculty? May ipapagawa akong papers for graduating students eh." He asked kindly. Napaisip ako, tinatamad ako pero this is one way of not seeing Isaac. Anything to get away from him. I gave her a nod. Sumama ako sakanya papasok ng building namin at dumeretcho kami sa faculty office. Pinaupo niya ako sa isang table sa waiting area ng office at binigay saakin ang mga papel.

"Forty pieces yan Coleen. Sulatan mo lang ito sa mga papers na ito then tapos na kana." tinuruan ako ni Miss sa mga ano ilalagay. I just have to copy this words na nakalagay sa notebook ni maam at itransfer sa mga bondpapers na ito.

It was 7:50 nang matapos ko na ang lahat. Sabay na kami umakyat ni Miss Cielo sa room namin. This is it. Makikita ko nanaman si Isaac. Bago ako pumasok sa loob ng room ay huminga ako ng malalim. Kaya ko ito! Dahan dahan ako sumilip sa upuan namin at wala siya pero nandyan ang bag niya. He's here, Kaya ko ito. I told myself. Dahan dahan akong pumasok sa room at agad ko nakuha ang attention ng mga kaklase ko.

"What the hell happened to you!" Sigaw ni Gela saakin with her face full of shock. I gave her a smile and continued walking inside. Ano ba kasi problema ng babaeng ito?
