"Harriet?!" I gasp, excitement and confusion mixing together in my chest, a smile growing wide on my cheeks.

"We've missed you both so much!" The blonde cheers, pulling her mask down as well.

"Sonya!" Aris and I say in unison as she crashes into me and Aris, her arms around our necks.

They're actually alive!

Harriet joins in as my arms make their way around the two girls and Aris. They're okay! They're here! The four of us let out a laugh, a few tears springing to my eyes.

I can't believe they're alive! I thought for sure that I'd lost them, the two girls who made my life better when I woke up in the Lift. But here they are, happy, healthy, and safe.

"You sticks are lucky our guys in the mountains didn't shoot you!" Harriet says as we break apart, a smile bright on her face.

I let out a humorless laugh, my smile faltering a bit. "Actually your friends up there shot my thigh." I point to the bandage, a pain shooting through it as if on cue.

The group, except Aris, let out a collective gasp as they all see the bandaging around my thigh. Questions arise from all of them, a laugh leaving my lips, as I try to quiet them down.

"Guys I promise I'm fine," I say, the questions stopping. Thankfully. "It's all thanks to Aris and his handy patchwork," I gently bump Aris's shoulder, a soft smile on my lips. He blushes softly, a smile on his lips as his eyes move to mine.

Sonya starts to say something but get's cut off by Minho as he says, "How do you shanks know each other?"

Aris and I turn to look back at the boys, the two of us smiling excitedly. "We were in the maze together!" Aris cheers, excitement shining in his voice.

"They're the two brave souls who escaped with The Right Arm!" I say, my smile brightening as I glance back at the girls.

Man, it's so good to see them again.

"Speaking of which," Thomas starts, his eyes moving to the girls. "Do you guys know where we can find them?"

I look back at Harriet, a smirk growing wide on her lips. "Congrats Finchface, you found us." She puts her fingers to her lips, whistling as she turns away and faces the mountains.

"We're clear guys! Come on out!" She shouts, the truck blocking the pathway starting its ignition.

"Copy that!" One guy from the mountain shouts, causing me to look up at them.

Multiple sharpshooters come out from behind trees and rocks, each one of them waving at us, shock flowing through my chest. They're all dressed in camouflage, a gun in their hands.

As I turn I notice Sonya and Aris exchanging a glance, one that is filled with such love it can't help but bring a smile to my lips. She delicately places her hands on his cheeks as she looks up into his eyes, hers glowing brighter already.

"I can't believe you're alive!" She says, tears welling in her eyes. Her kind, pure heart shines through her words.

He's loved her since the day they met. I remember him always coming to annoy me while I was in the MedRoom helping one of the girls. He would talk about how she looked at him or helped him around the Mire. It took everything in me not to slap him, but deep down I thought it was truly endearing of him.

My eyes move to the Gladers, my heart sinking down to my feet. They've lost everyone they loved too. But unlike Aris and I, they won't get the chance to see any of them again...

Winston immediately pops into my mind, my eyes moving to my boots, tears beginning to prick at the corners of my eyes. I wish there was something we could've done...
