Gally is still trying to cut open the door. It feels like it's been forever since the boys and Teresa left. And now my mind is racing in different directions. I'm seated at the control desk, resting my elbows on the wood tabletop, my head resting in my hands.

"Gally how much longer?" I shout over the sound of him cutting the door handle, my eyes moving over to him.

"Almost got it!" He shouts back.

The kids are waiting patiently by the door, ready to toss the guards in there and grab the serum. A few of them are seated by the desk, resting their backs on it.

I'm so tired, my eyes start to drop— What the hell is that?!

A loud siren screams throughout the room, red lights flashing, shaking me awake. My eyes move over to Gally who has stopped slicing through the metal to look at the sirens. His eyes lock with mine, confusion flowing in his eyes.

"The boys always know how to get attention." I sigh, rolling my eyes and resting my head back on my hands.

Gally gives a little chuckle and goes back to cutting the door.

Within about fifteen minutes, Gally gets the door unlocked, a cheer of excitement leaving my lips as I jump up from my chair, pumping my fist in the air.

Gally rushes inside, gathering all the serum bottles, stepping out so the kids can put the guards in there. I help them drag a few inside, making my way out so Gally can slam the door shut.

Gally hands me the bag of serums, making his way to the front of the room. I grab one and shove it into my pocket. Newt needs this asap.

Looking at the closest kid to me, I shove the bag of serums into his hands. He has brown hair and bright blue eyes that have fear drawn all over them as I do so.

"What's your name kid?" I ask, looking directly into his eyes.

"Abram." The kid says unsure, his voice wavering slightly.

"Well, Abram, hold this and guard it like your life depends on it," I tell him, a smirk growing on my lips. "Because it does."

His eyes fill with even more fear as he gives me a quick nod, his hands tightening around the bag.

I make my way up to Gally, earning a smirk from the blond boy. "You had to scare him?" He asks, his eyebrows tilting up.

A laugh leaves my lips as I shrug. "Kids gotta learn sarcasm at some point."

He lets out a small laugh, slowly shaking his head as he looks at the group. "Okay, stick close to me and don't break away!" He cocks his launcher, his eyes moving to mine. "Sandy take the back."

I nod, cocking my launcher, walking to the back. My eyes scan the kids as I pass them, my heart falling to my feet. They're all so... so broken.

They're just like the rest of us.

"Let's go!" Gally says as he takes off running, the kids and I following behind him.

We run through the hallways, ducking for cover the moment a guard rushes by. The kids and I file behind Gally every time a guard makes their way past us, everything in me praying they don't see us. Making our way through the stairwell, we rush up to the main level, the entire group stopping.

"Gally?" I whisper shout, my eyebrows furrowing as I rush up to the blonde boy.

"We're stuck." He sighs, pointing ahead.

"What happened?' I ask, my eyes following his finger, my heart falling. "Shit..."

Dozens of guards are swarming around the main lobby, their launchers drawn and pointing around, waiting for someone to threaten them. This is no doubt because of Thomas and Newt.
