{Dani's POV}
I grin as Jade laughs in shock, hugging me. I was hoping that if I talked it would distract her from the fact that I just told her I'm an orphan.
"You talked!" She cheers.
"Please don't tell the others about me talking because then they'll ask about what I said. I'm not ready to tell the girls yet. Oh, and the boys already know. They met me there, actually." My voice comes less raspy than the first time. Jade nods.
"Are you going to talk to me now...?" Jade asks, hopefullness evident in her eyes. I nod.
"I hope you know you're the first person I've talked to in 9 years." I smile. She grins.
"No way, really?" I nod.
"I won't talk to you around the others though. Only when we're alone."
"Okay." She thinks for a minute. "Wait..." I freeze. Maybe it didn't completely distract her. "You live in an orphanage?" She asks, tears welling up in her eyes and her smile dropping. I slowly nod. "Oh my gosh." She pulls me into a gentle hug, tears soaking through the sleeve of my shirt. I rub her back comfortingly.
"It's okay!" I assure her. "It's not like I'm much different than every other teen." I shrug a little. She nods, breaking the hug.
"I know but you don't deserve to be in the orphanage." Jade rubs my arms. "We need to tell the girls." I shake my head rapidly.
"No, no. They can't know." I mutter as I try to break away from her grip.
"Dani... They need to know. You can't keep this from them forever, you know? They're going to find out sooner or later." Jade tries to reason with me.
"Well let me try to keep it away from them as long as possible." I beg. She sighs.
"Fine, but I'm telling you now, it's not going to last long." She shoots me one last small smile before we stand up and leave the bathrooms.
"You okay? I didn't mean to make you run off." Perrie smiles sadly. I nod.
"Any progress?" I hear Leigh wisper to Jade, who shakes her head. Okay, something's definately up.
'Um... I have to tell you guys something.'
"What is it Dani?" Jade asks, sending me a small, knowing wink.
"I can talk." I smile a little. I watch as all three girls' mouths drop open in shock.
"Okay so there was progress." Leigh smiles.
"That's what two were whispering about?" I ask, holding back a laugh at Perrie and Jesy's faces.
"Wait," Perrie snaps out of her trance,"How is your voice so smooth? Shouldn't it be raspy?"
"Well how would I write a song without singing it?" I lie, laughing. She smiles.
"Oops."
"You'll have to sing it for us soon." Jesy nudges me playfully. I smirk.
"There's more than one. In fact, I've worked with Cher Lloyd before. We're pretty good friends, actually."
"Whoa. How'd you two meet?" Leigh asks.
"I had these group of kids that I.... Babysit, and we went out to get money to help pay for our lunch since their parents never bothered to pay me. It's not like I would protest though." I shrug.
"How many of them were there?"
"5. Ranging from 6 to 12."
"Were they good?" Perrie asks, taking a sip of her drink. It wasn't until then I realized that our food is here.
