Arthit's POV

"It's Lila"

"No"

"What do you mean, no? It is Lila. I clearly saw her. She had a gun. She shot Kong."

"It's not Lila. She wouldn't ever do anything to hurt Kong. They are the closest of friends. She is more than a sister to Kong. They grew up together. I know her very well. It's not her."

"I don't know about any of that, all I know is I saw her shoot Kong."

"Then you saw wrong."

"What? Now conveniently my visions aren't correct just because you don't want to believe them? Jes, I really don't care what you chose to think about Lila, but you need to separate them. Send one of them away from the other."

"Arthit it's not that simple. Sending Lila away wont magically save Kong's life. Plus we can't just go around manipulating their lives. They will ask questions we won't be able to answer."

"Why is that even a problem. We lie. I will lie. Does any of that matter as long as we make sure Kong is alive?"

"So you are OK with just assuming it was Lila without any reason or proof?"

"What part of these ridiculous dreams have any reason behind them? They made me fall in love with a guy I watch die every fucking night. None of this makes sense anyway."

"Listen Arthit you aren't thinking clearly. You are just being biased because it is Kong."

"Ofcourse I am being biased because it is Kong. Is this really a news flash to you?"

"Arthit, don't take that tone with me. I want to save Kong as much as you do, but I can't simply send Lila away over one vision you have, which you probably don't even know what it means."

I took a deep breath to calm myself. I don't think continuing this argument with Jes was going to lead us anywhere. I just couldn't understand why taking precaution wasn't the most obvious solution. Even by some crazy coincidence my vision wasn't what I saw, just not having them around each other was better than not doing anything at all.

"Fine, if you won't do anything, then I will." I didn't look back as I stomped out of the room slamming the door behind me. I was going to figure out what the deal with Lila was and if Jes was unwilling to help then I would do it myself. I figure I have spent more than enough time trying to focus on Kong with only the tiniest sliver of clue. Maybe my focus should be the person who hurts him instead.

Which I am hoping isn't that hard. I spend so much of my time with Kong everyday anyway that it should be easy for me to make sure Lila is around us. Lila and Krit were always looking for reasons to hang out with us, but up until now I had always considered them as nothing but a distraction. But I think things were going to change around here.

At lunch that day I purposely sat between Krit and Lila, ignoring the questioning look Kong gave as he sat across from us. Maybe it would be easier to pry information about Kong from them too. Both Jes and Kong always spun me around in circles, but his friends were always a lot more forthcoming with information.

"P'Arthit are you planning on coming to the club with us tonight? It's Krit so-called farewell party. You should come, it will be fun, plus it will give us a chance to hang out together. We have barely seen you around."

"Farewell? Krit is going somewhere?"

"Yeah P'Arthit I am being reassigned. We were supposed to tail you for another year, but since you already know who you are, all of us don't need to be around you. Jes is sending me to Japan. Isnt that awesome? I have never been to Japan before."

Japan? Jes was sending Krit to Japan? What the freaking hell? Why couldn't he just send Lila instead? After all the bullshit he gave me about separating them, it was all Ok to send Krit away but not Lila. Fucking great! Now I was plain pissed at Jes. It was almost like he was purposely trying to make my life hell.

"Yeah, yeah I will come tonight. Why don't I swing by your house to pick you up Lila. Then we can head to the club together."

"Really? That's awesome! I can show you around my room. Maybe it will help you dream about me. Oh man! I cannot wait to hear something juicy about my future. P'Arthit can you please try to dream up a mission abroad for me too? Someplace exotic."

I kept observing her as she chatted continuously about herself or Krit or sometimes even Kong. She honestly seemed so guileless. I could feel the pang of guilt gripping my chest. In all her conversations she genuinely sounded like she cared about Kong, almost like a brother. If I probably knew her as long as Jes had maybe I would be hesitant in suspecting her too. Maybe I hadn't interpreted my vision correctly. Perhaps it was nothing more than an accident.

Even so she definitely held the gun that kills Kong. For me that was all that matters. Accident or not I need to know what led her to point the gun at him. So I let her follow me around rest of the day while she spoke almost non-stop about the dreams she wished I had about her. Even when I dropped by her room to pick her up that evening I noticed everything in her dorm was as open and frank as her personality. Everything she claimed to like was plastered on her walls as posters or stuffed toys. Quite honestly I couldn't even picture her as a spy. How did Kong and Lila even get along? They were as different as night and day.

And as weird as it was to constantly be surrounded by extremely chirpy, happy, endless conversation I still stuck to her side at the club. I am hoping the more I focus on her higher the chances of me dreaming about things associated to her. Something would definitely give me a clue as to what was about to happen with her and Kong.

But as the night kept progressing her drinks kept adding up and her speech kept getting less coherent. I tried to get her to stop drinking but for some reason drunk juniors really didn't listen to their seniors anymore. I was trying to figure out how to convince her to call it a night when Kong and Krit suddenly appeared next to my side.

"P'Arthit we need to leave."

"Wait, I think Lila is really drunk."

"Krit will take Lila home. I am getting you out of here right now."

"Why? What happened."

"Firstly, I think your follower is back. Secondly, you have been sipping on a very spiked drink."

"Huh?"

"I suspect your dreams will be extra interesting tonight."
