Number twelve take me to hell

12-

My chest burned. Like really bad. I collapsed on the ground dropping Claus a few feet away before I did. What the hell did I just do? What happened? Why am I so tired…

A few moments later I woke up feeling wind wash over me. I was in a wide field light green as far as I could see. I sat up a bit of it falling from my hair. “Claus?” I called. No answer. I stood up and looked around. Where is he? “You will not find your Claus here.” a voice sounded behind me. I turned to see a woman standing her hair flowed slightly in the wind. Behind her the green hills had turned to a silverfish world of starlight. I was in slight awe, but I was still worried about Claus,”Where is he?”

“Worry not child, he is safe. I watch over him.” I nodded. She smiled,“You are quite remarkable, I'm not surprised that he has taken interest in you.” My cheeks flushed slightly. The woman laughed,”And it seems that you're quite fond of him as well.” I shifted my feet. “Walk with me.” she said holding out her hand. I took it and let her lead me. “You must be confused, right?”

“Well, yeah.” She laughed pushing her dark hair out of her face so I could see it,”My name is Hinawa, I walk here in peace.” Hinawa huh, sounds cool. “It is cool, thank you.” she giggled. “How did you?”

“Read your mind. I'll tell you but first let's sit.” She said sitting down on the ground. I followed her movements. “When I was born there was a special people, and what made them so special is that they could use a power known simply as PSI.” she said then continued,”I was born carrying the magic, but I was unable to ever unlock the power to use it. So it was passed on to one of my two boys.” she then looked saddened looking at her hands. I sat closer to her,”Who are your sons?” I asked thinking it would make her feel better. She sighed,”I'm afraid none of them are ever to use it...I told them that it was like a kind of disease, they would be treated as freaks if others found out. Or worse, they could get killed. One day we were attacked...my boys...they saw me die.” I felt chills up my spine,”They lived, thank the heavens...but a lot happened as they grew up. They love each other but...they've drifted.” she let out a breath,”Claus does not possess the power.”

“And Claus is your son?”

“Yes.”

I paused in thought,”So what about your other boy?”

“Lucas.”

“Yeah, what happens to him.”

“Nothing.” she said simply,”He's too scared to use it.” the silvery world began to fade,”We hadn't much time. Ninten”

“Yes?”

“You have PSI abilities they are not too strong like others you know, but they will help you. Travel the way of the biggest star and you will reach Podunk. And please...take care of my dear son, he's a hothead.” I smiled and nodded taking all of the information in. Then the world faded to black. “Ninten?” I felt someone shaking my body,”Hwaaah?”I whined. I saw Claus looking down at me,”You looked like you were having an asthma attack.” he sighed. I sat up, god my head hurts. “Ugh.” I started to remember everything that happened,”Claus.”

“Yeah?”

“Do you know a Hinawa?” I asked. I watched as Claus's face fell,”Yeah….Why?”

“She spoke to me. She told me to tell you that she loved you.” he looked bewildered. I then explained what had happened in the ‘dream' he looked both curious and sad at the same time when I was finished. Claus stood up holding put his arms so I could do the same. I stood too. “Here eat this first, you need some strength.”  he held out an apple. I took it and bit into it. It tasted sweet, nice. I looked at Claus before swallowing,”Don't you need something to?” Claus looked uncomfortable,”Uh, yeah...I'll eat.” he pulled out a piece of some sort of fruit and started nibbling at it. I hummed and started to finish my own food. I felt my ears burned and I looked up. Was he watching me eat? Uh...weirdo. I decided to lean against him,”You're strange Claus.”

‘I haven't eaten anything but bread for eight years Ninten and I didn't have enough time to get any.’ I heard him huff his voice a bit muddled,“We'll how was I supposed to know that?” I shot back.

“What?”  he said confused. I looked at him,”Dang it, sorry I thought you said something. Anyways, you can eat whatever you want when you're with me.” he still looked confused but then he smiled,”Thanks Ninten.” we then set off again, this time towards a real destination. We'll find our way soon. I know it…

It was a few hours later and we were still walking, neither of us had really said anything apart from Claus occasionally asking if I was okay. I started thinking about Hinawa and what she said. I felt weird about it. Like...what exactly can I do with this? Apparently all I can really do is run really fast and end up in a new place. I looked up at Claus who had stopped, we were in front of a chain of metal poles and a clearing of yelling grass. “Hold this.” Claus said holding out his bag.” I took it and shit his a confused look. Claus only smiled before pushing himself off the ground in a spectacular leap. He held onto the pole and let out a,”Yes.” as if he was excited that he did it. He started scooting his way up to the top. I looked up in a bit of admiration,”Woah….” I murmured as he reached the top. I couldn't see his face but my the looks of his posture he saw something important. He slid down like a fireman would bouncing on his feet as he reached the bottom,”The field ends not to far from here, there's some fog ahead of that….but we're heading in the right direction.” he said. I nodded as he put his bag back on. And we set off once more. This time Claus started to hum, his voice was kinda scratchy. But I didn't mind it. I found content in watching him for a little while I shouldered him playfully and he scowled,’well aren't you drop dead gorgeous.’ I chuckled in my head. Claus's face turned a light shade of red,”Uhhm, glad you think so.” he said looking at the ground. Oh shiii- “What are you talking about?” I said walking at a little bit of a distance. “I'm talking about what you just said.”

“But I didn't say anything.”

“I heard you.” he retorted poking my nose. I scrunched it,”Then what did I say.”

“You said the most truthful statement you've ever said.” he said cheekily. I shoved him a bit,”Oh my god why and how did you hear that!?” I whined. “Maybe it had something to do with your little...um CBI.”

“PSI Claus” I shot back smiling. “Whatever.”he rolled his eyes. I sighed,”You're probably right…” Claus let out a chuckle before tapping my shoulder,”We're at the fog.”

“My god! It's as think as my fifth grade teacher.” I blurted out. Claus turned at an ungodly speed,”What did you just say?” he nearly snorted.

((This story is almost over smh, just a few more chappys probably. I feel like I should write more for the Mother series maybe, I'm thinking about it lol))
