what happens to a nightmare remembered
does it haunt you
like a ghost on All Hollows Eve
or smother you like a heavy smog
and then discard you
does it tremble like a dog during a thunderstorm
or hover
like a helicopter ready to land
maybe it fades like a moonbeam on the brink of dawn
or does it just remain
