Chapter 9

"Could I get a cup of tea please? "you heard the man in front of you ask the barista.

He retrieved his drink and went to sit at a booth in the corner.
Finally it was your turn.

Thank goodness your darling Erik left you money you would have starved rather than eat his breakfast. Even though the gesture was terribly sweet.

You ordered your bagel ,fruit and coffee and pulled the money out to pay when the cashier stopped you.

"Your meal is payed for." he said nodding to the man who was in line in front of you.

Oh gosh. You hoped he wasn't interested.

You thanked and cashier and slowly walked over to the man in the both.

"Look thank you for paying for my food but I'm already taken and I don't enjoy random strangers paying for my things. I am more than capable to pay for it myself that was completely uncalled for especially when you men feel like I'm in debt to you now and -"

He chuckled "Wow. " he said shaking his head and smiling. "Erik was right. You are fiesty." he stood up and offered his hand to you.

"Charles Xavier. " Oh. How could you be so stupid?

"You aren't stupid it was actually quite entertaining. Would you like to sit?" he asked gestuing to the chair.

You quietly nodded and sat still feeling a bit ridiculous.

"I came to meet you. I've never seen Erik so happy and alive as he's been recently. Its amazing. He hasn't stopped talking about you at all. I feel like I've known you for years." he stopped to chuckle.

"How long have you known him?"

"Quite sometime actually and I must say that he is absolutely in love with you which is amazing considering how much he hates humans. I remember he came to me a month before he was arrested. He came for my help. He was so confused about his feelings for you it literally scared him. He never liked the idea of anyone having power over him it-"

"Power over him?" you asked cutting him off.
That didn't sound like Erik.

Erik was stubborn and strong willed.

"You dont get it do you? You could ruin his whole world. His entire being just by saying something as simple as you dont love him anymore. He would do anything for you, you are his world and I'm so happy to see him changing his ways for you. I never thought I'd see the day when Erik second guessed his evil urges and I'm truly grateful for that. " he paused and looked at his watch.

"I really must be going. My services are needed elsewhere I really do hope I see you again. " he got up smiling before walking off.

You quickly got up and ran over to him

"Charles? " you called stopping a few yards behind him.

He slowly turned around.

"Yes Analise?"

"Please take care of him. Make sure he comes back to me safely or you haven't even seen fiesty."

He chuckled lightly before nodding and exiting the shop.
