Chapter 37

12 hours in labor finally paid off.

You sat in your hospital bed exhausted while Erik stood beside you holding your beautiful baby boy.

"He definitely has your eyes Ana. But he has my nose and mouth and pretty much everything else." Erik grinned widely.

He bent down to place the bundle of joy in your arms.

"Hi my little Jett." you thought of the name due to his jet black hair that got from your mother. "You look just like daddy dont you?" Jett started to wiggle around in your arms a little. "Dont worry baby. That's not that much of a bad thing. "

A few minutes later the nurse took Jett out of the room to take him to the nursery for a while to let you rest.

Erik climbed on the hospital bed alongside you. You placed your head on his shoulder. "You did wonderful Mrs. Lensherr. Our little Jetty has the most beautiful mother possible. "

"And of course the most handsome father. What a lucky boy." you cut in.

He kissed your forehead. "Sleep now my love. You must be tired." he observed.

You nodded and nuzzled into his chest to doze off.

You awoke to the sound of crying. You opened your eyes to see Erik beside you with Jett in his hands.

"Isn't mommy the most beautiful woman you've seen?" Erik said. "She's gonna be a amazing mommy too. She already loves you so much and we're going to take care of you as much as we can-" you heard Erik say before you fell back asleep.

A few days later you were finally back home with Erik and Jett. It was getting hard to take care of Jett. He cried for everything and you were lacking sleep. It was so stressful for you.

"Erik. I am so exhausted. Jett will not stop crying. I haven't slept in a week. I need some rest. Is it alright if I go to Nancy's for a few hours for some sleep? I feel like I cant go on if i dont sleep."

"Of course baby. I'll bring you." he agreed and began to get the car seat for Jett.

A few minutes later you were in the city at Nancy's house.

"So how has thing been with you and Charles?" you asked Nancy after Erik left.

"Oh Ana it's been absolutely amazing!  He's the sweetest man ever. He's perfect. " she gushed.

You yawned "That's wonderful Nance."

You two chatted for a few more minutes before she let you sleep.

8 hours later you woke up feeling a whole lot better.

When you got back home Jett was in his crib sleeping and Erik was on the chair beside him reading a book.

"Um, honey. Why is Jett's diaper backwards? " you asked raising and eyebrow.

"I honestly thought that was how it was supposed to go." he chuckled and you joined him before taking the book out of his hand to sit on his lap. You wrapped your arms around his neck and kissed his cheek. "Well someone is in a good mood." he observed.

"Sleep can do wonders." you smiled at him.

"I'm so glad you're feeling better. I was worried about you. I was a little nervous you wouldn't come back. "

"Of course I would come back!  I held that baby boy for 9 months and you think I was gonna leave that easily? He's gonna have to try harder than that."

Erik laughed deeply "Very true. I'm happy you came back. You're the only one who will put up with my naughtiness. " he pinched your butt and you slapped his hand.

"Bad Erik." you pretended to scold.

"Oh. baby I can be a whole lot worse." he whispered in your ear before whisking you off to your bedroom.

A/N: Surprise !!!! This is the end! But i will do a little epilogue about Jett's special ability I just dont know when. College prep is kicking my butt. Well i hope you enjoyed and leave comments or messages  about another fanfic you would like to be made. I will also write one shots/imagines on a preferred character and scenario. So if you want a short little story about say you and pietro and how you two met or something along those lines let me know.
