Erik's POV
She rejected him. She said no. Ana said she wouldn't marry him. She ran into her room and closed the door. Shortly after he left the apartment.
He knew exactly where he was going.
The drive wasnt too long only about an hour.
He gauged the house slowly. It stood alone at the end of an old street. It was a yellow house. Very quaint and girly unlike the owner.
He pulled into the driveway before parking the car and walking up to the door.
He rapped loudly on the door, his blood still boiling.
Then the door opened and there she stood. In all her blue glory. Mystique.
"Erik, what a nice surpri-" she was cut off by Eriks hold around her neck.He pushed her against the wall and held her by her shoulders to ensure he would hear her answer.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY TO HER?!?!" he shouted furiously
She coughed slowly regaining her breath. "What are you talking about Erik? Let me go!"
He dropped his hands and backed up.
"I asked Ana to marry me but she said no. She said she couldn't make me happy. She said I needed to marry someone like me, a mutant. She said your name Raven. What did you say to her?"
"I didn't say anything I swear. I told her how much she's changed you and how much you love her and have changed for her. Maybe she thinks you shouldn't have to change for her. Maybe she thinks if you were with a mutant you wouldn't need to change and you could be and do what you wanted. Maybe she feels like she's trapping you."
His face shifted from anger to sadness as he dropped into the chair next to him. He put his head in his hands as he sighted heavily.
"How can I fix this?" he asked exasperated.
"I dont know Erik. Thats something you have to figure out for yourself. " she said.
Erik stood up and nodded.
"Can i see the ring?" she asked and Erik reached into his pocket pulled out the box and revealed it to her.
"Erik its beautiful. She'll love it. Wait I have an idea. In the car on the way to meet you at the dinner before we were um kidnapped she told me she's always wanted to go to Italy to ride a gondola and tour Rome to see all the beautiful homes and buildings. I'll tell her I got two tickets to go and convince her to come and you show up and propose some time we'll think about that later but what do you say? " she asked concluding her idea.
He nodded, "It sounds great! Thank you so much Raven. I'll leave you to it." he said before exiting her house with a huge grin on his face.
