Chapter Two: Don't Get It Twisted
"Romance only comes into existence where love is fatal, frowned upon, and doomed by life itself." -Denis de Rougemont

Maeve, Kevin, and I quickly hopped in my car as I drove to her house.
Before I was sent away, spend the night parties between the three of us were frequent. Whether it was at Kevin's house or Maeve's, it didn't matter. As long as we never had a party at my house. Well as long as my mom and dad weren't there.
"So, it's four now and I have to be at FP's at six, so we have two hours to get me ready and watch some awful reality television." I smile as we pull onto her street and into her driveway.
"Let's watch the real housewives!" Kevin gasps and I laugh, parking the car and hopping out.
"Maeve, do you have a cool t-shirt I can borrow that's still stylish?" I ask
"Yeah, of course, who do you think I am?" She scoffs jokingly
I laugh with Kevin as Maeve leads us inside, past her parents and into her room.
"Here." She says and throws me a black Guns N Roses ripped up crop top.
I grin and change into that shirt and adjust my red plaid skirt.
"You still have some of my stuff here, right?" I look at her and she nods, pointing at a basket in her bathroom.
I walk over and grab my curling iron and curl my hair, adding one of my favorite headbands to it. I reapply my red lipstick and smile at my reflection.
"Does this choker go with this?" I ask them and they shake their heads.
"Put on your one that laces up!" Kevin gasps and I nod, switching them out.
"Do I look okay?" I ask and spin around.
"Amazing as always, Miss Cherry." Kevin grins.
"Agreed." Maeve nods as she looks up from her phone.
"Perfect." I smile triumphantly and sit on the bed between her and Kevin as he presses play on The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

"As much as I'd like to continue our marathon, I have to be on my way." I sigh dramatically and stand up, straightening my outfit.
"Good luck." They say in unison, never taking their eyes off the screen.
"See you soon my loves." I smile and grab my bag before sneaking out her window so her parents wouldn't see me.
I quickly walk to Sunnyside Trailer Park, considering Maeve's house is right next to it.
