Chapter Fifteen: Family
"Family don't end in blood." -Bobby Singer

"So, how did the meeting with Cheryl and Betty go?" Maeve asks as we walk to our bikes after school.
"Surprisingly well. My parents are actually offering to take Polly in and watch over her and the baby." I laugh.
"So basically, they're giving her the hospitality and love they never gave you?" She deduces and I nod.
"Pretty much." I laugh.
"But, I don't care about them. I've got you and FP. Family doesn't always mean who you're related to by blood." I smile softly.
"Awe is Cheri getting soft?" Maeve says in baby voice, teasing me as she bumps my shoulder with hers.
"Shut it." I roll my eyes playfully and lean against my motorcycle.
"Can I ask you something about FP?" I look at her and she looks at me weirdly.
"Why? What would I know?" She furrows her eyebrows.
"He's practically your second dad, don't come at me with that." I raise my eyebrows and she laughs, nodding her head.
"Fair point, continue." She laughs.
"Do you see us going anywhere? Like, long term?" I play with my fingers nervously.
"Cheri, you're dumb as hell." She laughs loudly and I frown, looking up at her.
"That man loves you more than he loves anything else in this world, even the serpents. Of course I see a long term future with the two of you. I wouldn't be surprised if that man married you one day." She shakes her head, a smile on her face.
"Now you're just being silly." I laugh and shake my head.
"There's no way."
"How in the world are you still that naive?" She tilts her head and I continue laughing.
"Will you just shh and get on your bike so we can go to Pop's? My shift starts soon." I laugh loudly and get on my motorcycle, revving it up.

"I cannot believe I'm going out with Archie, his dad, and FP." I sigh as I stand in front of the mirror in FP's trailer with Maeve, checking my outfit.
"Why exactly are you all going out for?" She asks as she watches me.
"Fred gave FP a job at his construction company." I smile.
"Is this outfit sensible enough?" I turn to face her, biting my lip nervously.
"Yes, you look fine." She laughs.
