Two months ago, before the tea party:

She stared out of the window pondering what was said about the girl, Sahiba Oman. She had sent spies to inquire about the girl, the girl who dared to kill Sahib's horse. A girl he had refused to kill and worse, came over with Asad to threaten her.
For as long as possible, she had kept him in check, watching his movements and making him succumb to her wishes. He was basically her puppet.
But she knew him, she knew his real self and no matter how terrible and murderous she was, Sahib was a thousand times worse than her. That part of him had always terrified her, yet, she was the very one who had brought the beast out.

Sahib was a loner, always had been. The only people he associated himself with was his mother, Asad who always forced himself on him and his sister, Aliyyah. The family was a huge one and although they always had one thing or another bringing them together, Sahib still never really associated himself with the rest.

His older brothers however were something else. They were domineering and commanding. Both trying to please their father and the family as a whole to have a chance at the throne. But she knew, if they ever became king, she would be pushed back to the bottom, a place she had terribly fought her way out of. She was finally getting there, to the highest position and she didn't want anyone pushing her down.

And that was when she made her first kill, the two brothers from the first concubine that came in before Sahib's mother was made Sultana. She had died given birth to the last son and so was not a stumbling block for her.

Then, she thought with Sahib, everything would go smoothly. He could be easily controlled especially due to the fact that they were close, very close.
She was after all the one who took his virginity when he was barely ten. The events that lead to that still gave her wet dreams.
And from that day on, he automatically became her sex slave and an escape vault from his father.
He was so adorable then, so cute, so reliable and so protective of her. She had however just used him and never expected him to be hopelessly attracted to her. She just regarded him as a child, a child she was older than with barely eleven years. But it came slowly, her heart started to beat for her husband's young son.

She eventually planned to put him on the throne and rule with him as her puppet King. After she had gotten rid of everything standing in her path, she made him Sultan, her puppet Sultan who had stolen her heart.
But she was wrong, he wasn't her puppet, he wasn't that adorable child who was so protective of her. He turned to a beast because of his mother's death, a death she had caused.

She couldn't bear his hate, she couldn't bear his scorn but she had to stay on top for he was ready to kill her. She had to not only stayed on top, she also had to make him give in to her.
And she used his brother against him, making sure he'd follow her every wishes.
Then, she sent those concubines and when he rejected all of them because he knew they were all from her, she sent Jadwa.
He didn't know she was sent, he had just always thought she was a servant.
But she was indeed a servant, her servant.

But Jadwa was unable to tame the beast, to bring him under her control. Instead, she fell under his control.
She then sent Ameena, but she too betrayed her. Still she knew Ameena would've been the perfect choice, especially as she was in love with him. But to Ameena, love was always an obstacle and so when she fell for Sahib, she betrayed her.
With all her plans falling apart, she knew she was running out of options. That alone made her lie low. She needed to come up with something.

Then Laila came along.
It was tough, especially because she had made the two brothers fall for her. At the end of the day, she was able to bring the girl to her side. She made her Sahib's concubine. Sahib had never been happier.
