I woke up early the next morning. I needed to get out and escape before Sahib would find me and force me to attend their horse race game. I went straight into the bathroom intentionally forgetting to say my prayers. I was beginning to get bored of it. To me, there was no point of it. Maybe when I die, I'd finally get the opportunity to see if there is indeed a god and if there were, I'd ask him why he let me live this kind of life.

I went to my bathroom and showered quickly not letting the water touch my hair as the hair dressers had adviced. I brushed my teeth and went immediately to pick one of the new black kaftan I had had before Sahib forcefully took me shopping for western clothes. I put it on and tied my hijab.
I turned to my mirror for the first time since coming into the room.
I thought it'd disappear but it was still there, my beauty.
I touched my face and smiled before quickly heading for the door. I opened it and my countenance fell.
I should have known it wasn't going to be so easy to have my way.

"Morning Sahiba. Heading somewhere?" She asked.
She really knew the right time to show up.

'Have you been watching me?' I asked.

"Of course. I always watch you and make sure you never leave my radar."
I should have known.

'So, it was you who was spying on us and decided to report to the queen dowager who brought Laila here.' I said getting angry.

"Wait, what?" She sounded surprised but I wasn't one to be deceived twice.

'You're working for the queen dowager right? That's the only explanation as to why Laila had to come yesterday.'
She stared hard at me before letting out a loud laughter.

"Wait, you think I work for the queen dowager?" She asked amused.

'I know you work for her.'
And she was quiet.

"Okay. Let me make things clear. First of all, no matter how long I keep an eye on you, I still have to sleep when it's time. Nature can't be denied. Secondly, I just came here to pass on an information. I had no idea you were trying to run away which is obvious for your actions gave you away and thirdly, me, working for Kareena. That's the most ridiculous thing I've heard in a long time."

I just stared at her in disbelief. I wasn't getting fooled for the 100th time.
Another thing, why the hell did she refer to the queen dowager by her name.

"Sahiba, you should know me better. I've never lied to you before. I've hiding some parts of the truth and distorted some facts but I've never lied to you or we wouldn't be having this conversation in the first place."

What the hell? Wasn't that also lying.
I frowned and turned away from her.

"Honestly, I knew you wanted to run away yesterday with Prince Asad. I also knew Laila was coming yesterday also. What I didn't know was that he was going to give up on running away with you. I had my suspicions but that was all."
I looked back at her in disgust.

'You always know everything, don't you?'

"As I always say, I have to always stay ahead of my enemies."

'And I'm one of the enemies you have to stay ahead of?'

"I don't see you as an enemy though. I just always want to know what you're up to."

'You're unbelievable.' I remarked disgusted at her character.

"I told you, I'll protect you and I can't do that if I can't know your whereabouts and the whereabouts of the people after you. Kareena is after you and it's my job to know her every move, at least until you kill the Sultan and die or run away."
