Lauren's Pov:

So I have this huge problem. I have a crush on the cute boy Gabe, like he is so cute. But my dad Chance is super overprotective like he doesn't like me hanging out with guys at all, no exceptions.

So today, I'm supposed to be going to Gabe's house to work with him on our History project so I guess I have to lie to my dad.

I walk into my house and see my dad sitting there watching T.V.

"Dad" I say.

"Yes sweetie" My dad replys looking away from the television

"Is it ok that I go to a friends house to work on an project?" I ask him biting my nails nervously

"Sure as long it's not a boy" My dad says with a look on his face

"Thank you" I say happy

Then I leave my house and get into my car and start driving to Gabe's house.

*20 minutes later*

I finally arrive at Gabe's house and then I get out my car and knock on his door.

"Hey Lauren" Gabe says

Then he lets me come into his house and we go up to his room to start working on our History project that's due in a week.

I take all the supplies out my bag and Gabe gets the poster board and we start glueing and sticking the stuff on the board and then after about 2 hours we finish the board.

So after we finish the board it's only 5pm and I'm not ready to go home yet so we just decided to watch some TV until about 7pm and then I decide it's time for me to go home.

So I give him a hug goodbye and start driving home and he keeps the poster the board.

Once I get home my dad looks very angry for no reason and like he knows who I was hanging with even though I told him I was going over to my friend Madison's house.

"So where did you really go?" My dad asks me.

"I told you I went over to Madison's house to work on our History project" I say with an attitude

"I know your lying to me so you might as well tell me the truth, you went over to a boys house didn't you?" My dad asks

"Yea, I went over to Gabe's house because we were partnered up together by our teacher Mr.Johnson." I say

"You know how I feel about you going over to boys houses, I don't like it, so for that your grounded for a month, no leaving this house for you" My dad says angrily

"What why?, I have to finish this project, I can't be here for a month I have to still finish my History project" I say very upset

"You should have thought of that before you went and defied my rules" My dad says

"So what do you want me to do it's not my fault my teacher decided to partner me up with Gabe, so you want me to fail?" I ask

"I guess beaucse your not leaving this house for a whole month" My dad says

"Omg your so annoying" I say as I'm walking upstairs stomping my feet.

*1 hour later*

My dad comes upstairs with a different tone in his voice than what he had earlier.

"So I've thought about it, I don't want you to fail so you can still go over to Gabe's house" My dad says

"What, really?, thank you daddy" I say hugging him tightly

Then he walks downstairs with a smile on his face and then you lay back on your bed with a smile on your face.

And eventually fell asleep.
