Calum:
Before I could even open my eyes, the sweet smell of coffee and the rumbling sound of pottery being moved at the kitchen had me up. I smiled and stretched before finally opening my eyes. The bed seemed so big without Calum to fill his side. I lied for some minutes on the bed, surrounded by crumpled sheets, but soon the hunger took over me, so I got up.
As I walked down the hallway I thought about how Calum always waited for me to wake up and then volunteered to make breakfast. He must've been really hungry today that he couldn't even wait for me to wake up. I smiled as I glanced over to the kitchen counter and saw him there.
He was shirtless, wearing only his plaid pajama pants. He leaned over the counter chopping fruits nimbly as he hummed a tune under his breath. When he realized I was standing there, staring at him he startled.
"Oh, good morning" he said with a small grin in his face.
"Morning" I mumbled as I got closer. I sat in front of him as he got back to work. The sizzling sound of something getting cooked in the frying pan got louder now that I was nearer.
"You hungry?" I smiled.
"Not really, I just wanted to surprise you but you ruined my plans."
"Sorry, it smelled too good to wait" I said as i stretched my arm to grab a piece of fruit. Calum playfully slapped my hand and made me drop it.
"Well I'm not finished yet, so you'll still have to wait." He turned around to face the stove so I stretched my arm again but before I could grab anything he spoke: "I'm watching you" finally I gave up and just stared at him as he walked from one side of the kitchen to another, stirring and chopping and humming to himself.
Michael:
I woke up to find Michael's arms wrapped around me. His eyes were closed, his face relaxed, sound asleep. I couldn't help but notice how young, peaceful and angelical he looked when he was sleeping. His long eyelashes caressing his cheeks, his soft hair messy and tangled, his mouth slightly open.
I smiled, thinking about how lucky I was to wake up in his arms and snuggled closer to him burying my face in the crook of his neck. I could now listen to his soft breathing and the steady beating of his heart that together with the sounds of the street: busses hunking, cars rushing down the roads and people chatting, made a melody that made me happy to be alive.
Suddenly, I felt a pair of lips pressed against my temple. I looked up and smiled when found a sleepy Michael staring down at me.
"Good morning" he said in a low and raspy voice, leaning in to give me a sweet kiss in the lips. I got closer to him and snuggled again, wrapping my hands around him and tracing circles on his back.
"I just want to stay like this forever" I said against the naked skin of his shoulder.
"I don't see a reason not to" to he said holding me tighter and pressing my lips to my neck now. I smiled and we stayed like that, just cuddling and kissing and holding each other for hours.
Luke:
I slowly opened my eyes. I could still hear the same melody I had dreamt of so clearly in my head that it felt as if it was coming from my side. I turned around to find that it was because it was coming from my side.
Luke was sitting in bed with his acoustic guitar between his arms, stroking the strings. He made it look so easy, so natural, as if he had done it thousands of times. Which he had.
I looked up at him. His eyes were closed, concentrated. His hair was all messy, carelessly. The morning sun rays that filtered by the windows made his skin look as if it was made out of gold, beautiful. He smiled lightly and stopped playing his guitar to look down at me.
"Good morning" he said sweetly. I smiled in response.
"Sleep well?" I nodded.
"That was a pretty melody" I said sleepily.
"It's a new song. It's not even finished yet but... I did it for you."
"Play it again" he grabbed his guitar again, positioned his arms around it and started playing. As he stroke the strings, beautiful sounds emerged from the instrument, the soothing music filling the room.
One thought suddenly popped in my mind: I wasn't dreaming. And it was perfect.
Ashton:
"(Y/N)! Wake up already! You're gonna be late for school!" I groaned as my mother called from downstairs. I yawned and tried to stretched, but I hit something with my arm. I turned around and saw what it was; or better said, who it was. Then I remembered.
Ashton climbing up the window and sneaking into my room, setting his sleeping bag on the floor besides my bed but not being able to use it for more than half an hour, squeezing each other into my small bed and talking until past midnight. I was used to this sudden visits from my best friend in the middle of the night, but he always left before my mother woke up. Today was different. He growled and opened his eyes.
"What was that for?"
"To wake you up, mom is already downstairs and waiting for me, if she finds out you're here, we're dead" I half whispered to him.
"Shit" he tried to get out of the bed but tangled himself in the bed sheets and ended up falling to the floor. I tried not to laugh.
"(Y/N)? You okay up there?"
"Yeah, I just... I dropped something." Ashton was already folding the sleeping bag. "I'm going to get ready, you just try to be sneaky okay?" He just nodded.
When I came back into the room, neither Ashton nor the sleeping bag were there, but there was a note in my bed: 'See you at school' I smiled.
