(The next day at lunch)
Kate's pov.
I walk into the cafeteria and i see Luke and Michael at a table, i sit next yo Michael since Ashton had already put his things there.
"Hey babe!" Luke says.
"Hey." i say and kiss his cheek.
"Babe?" Michael says.
"Yeah we're dating." Luke smiles.
"Aw that's so cool! You guys make a good couple." Michael says.
"Michael, you changed your hair colour again! Your going to become bald." Luke says.
"Hey! My hair feels unloved!" Michael whines.
"Its okay Mickey, i love you hair." i say putting my hand in his green hair.
"Thanks Katy!" he smiles like a child.
Ashton comes and sits next to Luke.
"Hey!" i smile.
"Hi." Ashton says not looking happy.
"What's wrong?" I ask concerned.
"Nothing, everything is fine." he says not being very convincing.
"Okay.." i say not wanting to argue.
"Luke and Kate are dating! Did ya know!" Michael says to Ashton.
"Uhm no, since when?" Ashton says.
"Yesterday." Luke says.
"Yeah." i smile.
We continued eating and talking.

.
School finished and i head to my locker to put my things inside.
"Hey, wanna come over today." I hear Ashton say from behind me.
"Sure!" i say.
We went to his house and went up to his room.
"What was wrong at lunch?" I ask.
"Nothing i told you." He says.
"Come on Ashton, I know something was wrong can't you just tell me." i insist.
"Nothing was wrong, but..." he pauses.
"But?" i say.
"Why are you dating Luke?" He asks.
"I-I don't know, it just happened, we were baking and then we started having a food fight and he just kissed me and well i felt- it felt, nice, like you know that feeling you get in your stomach when you really like someone and they do something cute and then well you stomach gets all tingly and that's how i felt." i say.
"So like butterflies?" he says.
"Exactly!" i say.
"So you love him?" Ashton says.
"Yeah, i think." I say.
"Do you think he's the one?" Ashton asks.
"Don't tell him this but no... I love him I think, but i'm not in love with him, there's a difference you know." I say.
"Yeah, i know." He says.
"Do you love someone?" I ask.
Ashton's pov.
"Do you love someone?" Kate asks.
Yeah i loved her, but i couldn't say that.
"Yeah." i say not telling her that its her.
"Really! Who?" She asks.
"Uhm... you don't know her." I lie.
"Oh okay, and does she know?" she asks.
"No." I say.
"Why not?" she asks.
"Because she doesn't like me and i'm afraid she won't want to talk to me." I say.
"She wouldn't do that and maybe she does like you, you never know." Kate says.
"She has a boyfriend and she might still talk to me but things won't be the same." i say.
"Well you know what if she does that, well i'm here for you, always no matter what, your my best friend and i'm so thankful for that." she says which felt like a knife through the chest when she said best friends because i want to more than that... i love her.
"Thanks." i say plastering a fake smile.
"What's wrong? that wasn't your usual smile." She says.
"Its just that, i don't think you should be with Luke if you're not sure if you love him." I say.
"Ashton your my best friend your suppose to be happy for me!" she says raising her voice.
"Just forget it." i say.
"No! Tell me why i should be with Luke, what? Cause i deserve better, or its cause its been two days and i'm not sure if i love him!" She says.
"Kate-"
"No Ashton, your my friend why can't you be happy with me." She says.
"Because! Just friends dont talk to each other like we do, just friends dont cuddle up to watch a movie, just friends dont stare at each other like we do! Kate i love you, actually i'm in love with you." I say.
"Ashton-"
"No just leave, don't make up something to make me feel better because i know you don't like me so just leave." I say.
She looks down and walks out of my room.
