Chapter 16

Kate's pov.

I wake up, trying to forget about what happened yesterday with Ashton because today is officially my first day of college, we start classes today. I get out of bed, i take a shower, i brush my teeth, i put on the outfit i planned out yesterday and i put a little bit of makeup. My classes today are literature, history, and advanced math. I don't really like math but i'm good at it so i guess advanced math shouldn't be too hard but it most definitely will be boring. Anna's classes started at 9:00 am so she's still sleeping, its 7:35 am and i'm walking out of my dorm and i bump into someone and drop my books and bag.

"Oh shit i'm sorry, i didn't see you there." A masculine voice says.

I look up and i see a cute guy, he's really cute wow, he has dark brown hair, hazel eyes, and really nice smile.

"It's alright." I finally manage to say.

"I'm Aron by the way." He say and smiles. Wow that smile is just so charming.

"I'm Kate." I smile back.

We get up and he gives me my books.

"Is this your first year here?" He asks as we walk to the elevator.

"Yeah, you?" I say.

"Yeah, but i know the campus pretty well, my dads the dean." He says.

"Oh that's cool, maybe you can show me around." I say shyly.

"I'd be glad to." he smiles. "What do you start in?" He asks.

"I start in literature, you?" I say as we step out of the elevator.

"Really? Me too." he says.

"That's great because i really don't know where the class is." I laugh and he does as well.

"Don't worry i won't let you get lost." He says and i giggle.

I suddenly see Ashton.

"Shit." I whisper to myself.

"What's wrong?" Aron asks so concerned.

"Nothing it's just my ex boyfriend."

"Ohh, where is he? Do you wanna go a different way?" He asks. How sweet is he?

Before i can answer Ashton walks up to us.

"Hey Kate, I see you already started getting friendly with the guys here, nothing really new, huh." He says with the most arrogant tone.

"Leave me alone." I say and i try to walk away but Ashton grabs my wrist and brings me close to him.

"Don't you miss the feeling of me this close to you." He says with the most seductive voice.

"Dude, i think you should back off." Aron says and pushes Ashton away from me.

"Okay mate but if you wanna get with her, keep her away from your friends." He says and leaves.

I can't take this, he just ruined my chance of making a friend, I already started walking away, Aron probably got the message and he probably doesn't want to hang out with a girl like me.

"Kate! Wait!" Aron shouts and runs up to me. "Are you okay?" He says with such a soft tone.

"I guess, it just sucks because he wasn't like this before, he used to be the sweetest guy I knew, we were best friends before we started dating, but it didn't last." I say.

Aron didn't say anything he just gave me a hug and I think that was probably the thing I needed most right now.

"Don't let a jerk like him hurt a pretty girl like you." Aron whispers into my ear.

"But he became a jerk because of me." I sigh.

"Why would he be a jerk because of you?" Aron asks as we start walking again.

"Well when me and Ashton got together, his friend, who was my ex, kissed me and then lied and said i kissed him, and since then Ashton hates me." I say.

"So you dated his friend before you dated him?" He says.

"Yeah, but it didn't last long." I say.

"How long we're you with Ashton?" He asks.

"Not even a day." I say and Aron looks at me confused.

I explained to Aron everything, basically from when i met Ashton to when he saved my life to when we kissed to when Luke ruined it all and to that night he was drunk and the whole time Aron was so attentive.

"Wow." he says after a moment. "But he still doesn't have any reason to be mad at you."

"Thanks for listening, you're really sweet." I smile.

"No problem, but can you promise me something?" Aron asks and I nod.

"Never try to take you're life again, okay?" He says.

"I promise." I say.

We got to our class and sat next to each other. I still can't get over the fact of how nice Aron is, he is the sweetest guy ever. He probably has a girlfriend, its impossible he doesn't, any girl would be stupid to not date him.

When class finished we walked out of class together and we talk about what the teacher told us.

"Aron do you have a girlfriend?" I finally say.

"No, why?" He says.

"So you're telling me a sweet and cute guy like you doesn't have a girlfriend." I say.

"Yup." He says.

I don't know what to say now. I hope he says something before this gets awkward.

"So you think i'm sweet and cute, huh." he says and i giggle.

"Maybe." I giggle.

"Okay why don't you tell me what your first thought was when you saw me, and i'll tell you my first thought about you." he says.

"You tell me what your first thought about me was, first." I say.

"Okay," he says. " well the first thing I told myself was, damn wasn't I lucky to have bumped into her but then i told myself you probably have a boyfriend." he says and blushes a little.

Oh my god he is just the cutest thing.

"Well my first thought when I saw you was wow this guy is really cute." I giggle and I'm probably blushing like crazy.

"So i'm not only cute but really cute." He laughs and I blush even more. "So what's your next class?" He changes the subject, thank god.

"History but it's only in a couple of hours, you?" I say.

"I have biology, it starts in 20 minutes, I should probably head to my class." He says.

"Okay, I guess i'll see you later then?" I say.

"I can't leave without your number." He says and i smile.

We exchange numbers, we give each other a hug and then we go our separate ways.
