Chapter 18

(An hour later)

Kate's pov.
"Why don't i go get us another drink." Aron says and disappears through the crowd.

This party was pretty fun, Anna and I made a couple of friends and everyone was really kind, expect for a few drunk guys that would come and be a little too friendly with me but except that everyone was really cool.

Wow it's hot in here, everyone is dancing on top of each other, next time they should have a party in a bigger place.

"I'm going to go take some air, okay?" I say to Anna and the girls I met earlier.

They all nod and smile.

I finally get to the door that leads to the backyard and I sit on this bench.

"Hello Kate." I hear someone say and I then realize its Ashton.

"Hi." I say without any enthusiasm what's so ever.

"Ooh is poor little Kate mad?" He says. "Why aren't you with your new boyfriend?" He adds.

"He's not my boyfriend." I say.

"Oh did you get another one already?" Ashton says arrogantly.

"Ashton I do not have a boyfriend, I am not seeing anyone, and I am not sleeping with anyone, so leave me alone!" I say frustrated.

"Okay okay, relax." He says.

"You're pathetic." I say.

"I'm pathetic?" He says. "look who's talking." He adds.

"Shut up." I say. "can't you just leave me alone and let me live my life in peace." I add and he stays silent for a moment.

"Why do you hate me so much?" He asks.

"Ashton, you hurt me a lot." I say.

"I hurt you a lot, Kate you made out with my best friend the day we started dating." He says.

"He kissed me Ashton! I tried to push him away, but I was in the god damn hospital and I lost a lot of blood, I was weak! I couldn't push him off!" I say getting mad. "Sometimes I wish you didn't save that day." I say with a very low tone of voice.

"Never say that!" He says angrily. "Never say that again." He says repeating himself and I just nod.

"Say you'll never say that again." He says.

"Okay, I won't say again, god why do you even care." I say.

"Kate are you actually saying this! We're talking about you're life here! Of course I care!" He says.

"Ashton you've made my life a living hell since that day!" I say.

"Doesn't mean my feelings have ever changed for you." He says softly.

"So then why are you this mean to me?" I ask.

"Because I don't want you to come close to me because if you do I might-" He says not finishing his sentence.

"You might?" I say waiting for him to finish his phrase.

That feeling I had when we first kissed has never left, its as perfect as the first time, his touch felt like fire, I wanted to be with him more then ever at this moment, but then I remembered about Aron, sweet, sweet, Aron. Ugh I can't choose between the both of them. It's impossible, Aron is so kind and loving but Ashton, I miss Ashton, I want Ashton, but I also want Aron. Ugh the dilemma.

These thought were rushing through my brain so fast I didn't realize I had stopped kissing Ashton.

"Ashton I'm sorry, I just can't." I say getting up.
