"Attention passengers, would all seniors of Forrest Hill High, please make your way to the High Seas Ballroom on the first level for your activities briefing. All Seniors of Forrest Hill High, please make your way to the High Seas Ballroom on the first level for your activities briefing. Thank you and have a fun filled day!"
The speakers cackle a bit before the music from earlier starts playing again.
"You're here where you should be, Snow is falling as the carolers sing..."
Kayla hums along to the music as she walks down the corridor towards the High Seas Ballroom. She was trying to avoid as many Forrest Hill High students as possible and decided to be the first few to arrive. That way she can hide out in a corner or something.
On the other end of the corridor, Zach bops his head as he walks towards the High Seas Ballroom while listening to his own music. Lost in his own world he almost bumps into Kayla as they both reach for the door at the same time.
They look up at each other and jump apart. Zach pulls his earphones out as Kayla straightens her shirt and nervously twiddles her thumbs.
"H-hey."
"Hi Zach."
Zach reaches for the door again and pushes it open for Kayla.
"After you."
"Urm, thanks."
They step in and look around. The chaperones and teachers are the only ones around so Zach walks up to his moms and Kayla slides away to a corner, hoping no one notices her.
"Hi moms."
"Hey honey, how's the cruise so far?"
Zach shrugs, "It's okay. I checked out some of the game rooms."
The two ladies nod at their son.
"Have you met up with your friends yet?"
Zach shakes his head no.
"Maybe later. Did you guys have fun at the pool?"
"Oh it was wonderful! Your mama's still got that Olympic dive down!"
Zach looks over at his mama with an oh-really look. "Really?"
"Hey! I haven't forgotten everything!"
Zach puts his hands up in surrender and backs away as he says,
"Okay okay, I'll take your word for it. But I'm pretty sure you only dived from the 3 meter platform, you know, since you're SO old."
As he says the last word he sprints away followed by his mom laughing and his mama screaming after him.
"HEY! You take that back young man!"
"LOVE YOU TOO MAMA!" Zach screams back as he heads towards his friends starting to spill in.

Kayla watches Zach run away from his moms laughing and smiles to herself.
He's such a goof
She follows him with her eyes as he walks towards his friends. She recognizes some of them from around school and she suddenly feels a pang in her chest as she watches them interact with genuine smiles and laughs. It's too much that she has to turn away.
She doesn't have that anymore, all her friends walked away from her and sided with Shannon. Saying that she should've kept her man by pleasing him. It made her sick to think that those were her friends, but she also missed the company. Just as she thinks that, the doors open again and her "friends" walk in. She tries to slink further into her corner, away from wandering eyes.
