Zach's POV
As soon as he closes the door, he looks around and dumps his duffle on the floor near the closet. He stands in front of the bed and flops face down and just lies there for a second. With his face smothered into the mattress, he starts to think.
What the hell was that. Why did I do that. Why'd I bring up Rick. Stupid, stupid, stupid. She doesn't want to be reminded about her cheating boyfriend or the fact that the whole school knows about it! Ughhhhhh. Why am I so stupid and oblivious and inconsiderate.
He flips himself around, looking at the ceiling and spreads his arms and legs out like a starfish. Berating himself a little more.
He then glances over at the clock and decides that he should walk around a little before the activities meeting.
He gets up and walks over to his bag to grab some sunscreen and his sunglasses. He applies the sunscreen and removes his sunglasses from their casing, placing them on his head. He knows he looks ridiculous with spectacles on his face and sunglasses on his head, but he didn't really care. It was convenient.
Checking that he had his wallet, phone and room key card, he made his way out the door.
As he was closing his room door, he looked over to his left and wondered if he should ask Kayla if she wanted to tag along. But then thinking better of it, he decided not to and walked to the steps to take him to the ground floor.
