“Alyson Gianna?” The teachers voice echoed to the sleeping classroom of Seniors. It was their first day back to school and their minds still weren’t set to early mornings. “Alyson Gianna?” The teacher called again.

Jasmine leaned back in her chair rolling her eyes. When was that girl ever on time? She had her for freshmen and sophomore year first periods and she was always late.

The teacher gave up after the second call and continued down the list. “Zayn Malik.”

“Present.” A dark haired and well built student called from the back. He gave the teacher a salute when she looked up then sat back lazily slouching in his chair. A couple girls looked back giggling when they saw him. Jasmine just continued to roll her eyes. Him again…she hated having him in her classes…especially math.

Next on the roll was, “Macy Mercado?”

“Here.” The soft voice came out of the girl who raised her hand. Macy had her short dark brown hair curled reaching up to the tips of her shoulder that day since it was the first day of school. The teacher nodded to Macy and continued through the attendance list.

Once she was through with that she explained to the students how rigorous the course work would be and passed out a syllabus to each one of them. They were each issued their own Calculus text book as well as brand new workbooks that they would be given homework through.

In the middle of giving out the text books the door creaked open quietly. In came a blond girl with wet long wavy/curly hair that reached all the way to her waist. She wore her messenger back to the right side of her hip coming up from her left shoulder. The class turned to see their new comer. But just as their interest sparked it was brought back down when they saw her and quickly looked back to their tables.

“Sorry I’m late.” she whispered quickly to the teacher while giving her the late slip.

“You must be Alyson?” The teacher asked looking at her new student. Alyson nodded her head.

“Mrs. Miles.” The teacher introduced. “Here are your text and work books and you must bring this syllabus signed by tomorrow.” Alyson nodded an okay to her new teacher and scurried to find an empty seat. The class was oddly small so, she got to get her preference and sat in the front.

After what seemed like an eternity at 8:50 the bell finally rang. The students began rushing to grab their things while Mrs. Miles reminded them one last time not to forget their syllabus.

Alyson rushed to her locker. She just got instructions this morning to where to find it from the counsler. She cursed herself for being late and not being able to explore more in the morning. The rush of students began filling the hallways but she reached her locker just in time. It was currently empty. Alyson took a quick look into and smiled, this was the last time it was going to be found this neat. She stuffed her calculus things along with her extra notebooks into the locker and rushed to find her next class.

The second bell rang indicating that class started just as Alyson stepped through the door of her Tech class. In front of the class was her favorite teacher Ms. Lanyon.

“Good Morning Ms. Lanyon.” Alyson greeted her teacher.

“Morning Alyson.” Ms. Lanyon used to teach Alysons’ swimming class freshmen year. They were in need of teachers this year for the new tech class though, and she quickly took the position.

“Good morning class.” Ms. Lanyon said walking to the door to close the door.

Just as she was about the lock it Elijah rushed in, “No Ms. Lanyon wait!” He squealed. The class laughed at Elijah when he walked through the door. He smiled but took the empty seat by Alyson as quick as he could not to bother the teacher any further.
