Alyson looked nervously at her watch. It was New Years eve and Elijah and promised to take her out on their first official date. The queasiness in her stomach returned when she felt the butterflies erupt again. Why was she even nervous? He was her boyfriend, so there was really no point in that. Right?
Her four friends were all heading to a party that night. They promised her that they would take good care of Jasmine who didn’t say a word about the filming day. Giving her a break was the best they could do, since they were the ones who forced her into playing the role of Vyana.
Alyson started feeling bad all over again, but she didn’t have time to let the feelings stay. Her phone vibrated at the moment she received a text.
“I’m outside :)”
Elijah was here! She jumped up and quickly looked at herself in the mirror again. Her simple white dress flowed down mid thigh to her. It was a tank top style from the top and Alyson was always iffy about revealing that much. So she added a light but quick green jacket that was almost jean material. The length of the sleeves reached three fourths of the way. Around her wrists she accessorized with a couple beaded gold bracelets. She looked at her wild curly hair that she had perfectly tamed today. That extra leave in conditioner really works.
Her phone vibrated again forcing her to stop admiring her appearance in the mirror.
“Yoohooo gorgeous, dinner reservations await you. :D’
He was just too darn cute! She grabbed her cell phone and stuck it into the inner pocket of the jacket. Now that her baby was with her she was all set ready to go.
“I’m leaving now mom.” Alyson’s voice rang in the living room by the door.
Her mother surely heard her but didn’t say a word. Probably busy with getting her sisters ready to head over to her grandparents house. Alyson swung open the door and rushed out running down the steps and to Elijah’s car. He stood there on the side waiting by her door for her to arrive.
As soon as he saw her he straightened up his posture and smiled brightly, “You look…” He paused for effect then smiled, “Beautiful as always.”
Alyson blushed but nodded her head, “Thanks.” She said trying to blow off his compliment. He’s told her that she looked nice before, so why did it feel so different this time. He held open the door and watched her take her seat in the front carefully. All he wanted to do was hug her but he knew that her dad was probably watching so he didn’t want to get her in trouble.
He zoomed into the car himself and stuck the key in lighting up the engine. Backing up the care carefully he set himself on the road.
“You look cute too.” Alyson smiled after she had checked him out. Elijah smirked.
“Wouldn’t you know.” He teased her playfully. Alyson giggled and turned on the radio. All the stations bore her. Song after song was basically sex, drugs and rap. None of them suited her interest. Elijah grabbed her hand with one of his stopping her from continuing to look.
“I want music.” She whined. Even if it did bother him that she couldn’t make up her mind, it didn’t mean that she didn’t want to enjoy her time with some nice melody to her ear drums.
“I do to.” He took his hand off of hers and held both hands on the steering wheel again, “Can you open that compartment above your feet.”
Alyson did as he said carefully. She found a bunch of papers and envelopes in there, “I didn’t know you were a slob.” She pointed out.
