Alyson was yet again the last girl to make it to the room Tuesday for the auditions. When she walked in she saw a joined table of giggling girls with papers in front of them. They were all smiling cheesily as they continued to cut the creations they had made.

“Hey, sorry I’m late that lunch line was so long.” Alyson grumbled.

“Ooh! Look!” Trinity jumped from her seat and showed Alyson the signs that they made for each girl. Each laminated slip of paper had a number on it ranging from one to ten.

“It was Jaz’s idea!!” Trinity continued as Alyson awed each piece of number the girls had made.

“Eh, I just want to have a little fun here. This audition is going to be long and boring.” Jasmine spoke out.

Alyson nodded her head but quickly took her seat next to Victoria. Each girl had a stack of the numbers placed in front of them ready to interggate their first person.

“You each have a paper with you, the format is put in that I made. All you have to do is fill out that line for every person that comes in. Okay, how about we take in the Marcelo actors first?” Jasmine asked wanting to begin the audition as soon as possible. She didn’t like the thought of the students waiting out in the sun.

“Okay, I’ll go call them out for you.” Macy said politely getting out of her chair carefully and heading to the door. When she called out the role that was going to be seen first a clutter of guys rushed to the front. She quickly chose one of them and ordered the rest into a line, so that once he was out the next one would be able to come in right away.

“Hi, I’m macy.” She welcomed the guy in front of her she knew so well.

He smiled and took her hand, but instead of shaking it he lightly kissed the top, “Zayn Malik at your service.” Macy blushed a little at the moment his lips touched her hand but she let that evaporate quickly when she led him into the room.

The four girls were already back to conversing that quickly, didn’t waste anytime now did they? Macy thought, but she stayed calm walking back to them even though all she wanted to do was skip to their table.

“First up Zayn Malik.” She announced taking her seat. The girls all looked up and sat readily in their chairs waiting for their first guinea pig. After all they never had done an audition on anybody. Four of the girls sat excitedly almost giddy in their seats…all except…

“What are you doing here?” Jasmine asked blankly. The four girls turned to look at her, she was sitting in the middle of the row of desks they had created. Was she alright, it was an audition after all, what did she think he was doing?

“Auditioning, I love acting.” Zayn sent his stellar smile towards her.

“Then why aren’t you in drama?” Jasmine pressured on the topic.

Zayn shook his head, “This has a dancing lead Jasmine, that’s where I can actually succeed.” Did Zayn just downgrade his many other “talents”, as he liked to call them? Jasmine sat stunned at his response, but did not reply.

“Okay then…” Victoria spoke after the awkward silence, “Do you have anything put together for us. How about we see some of your acting.”

Zayn nodded and pulled out five sheets of paper with his monologue printed out on them. He handed each one to the girls and then went back in the front of the room to act it out. Victoria sat amazed, he did Shakespeare. Of all the things, thankfully he did NOT chose Romeo and Juliet.
