The next day Jasmine had to skip soccer practice. They were expecting company today so they couldn’t take her to practice. Her dads friend was coming over with his family that day for dinner and there was much preparations to do. Jasmine went through the rooms cleaning each one leaving it spotless. Once she had done that she grabbed her sister and put her into the shower so that she could get her squeaky clean as well.

Angelina came out looking as sparkly as ever with her hair still dripping wet. Jasmine pushed her towards her mother with a brush and left to go finish everything else. Once the kitchen was spotless and the living room was vacuumed Jasmine ran back up to her room. She looked into the bathroom mirror and noticed how gross she looked. Oh god, not okay.

She dragged herself to her closet pushing back hanger after hanger too look at the clothes displayed before her. Nothing caught her eyes until she got to the back of her closet to the things she usually doesn’t wear.  From that she picked out a dark purple lose top that was three fourths sleeve and still tight enough to shoe her figure. Looking back through the begging she pulled out her black skinny jeans and threw the things into the bathroom. Time to shower.

Jasmine came out in less than ten minutes dressed and showered. She pulled out her straighter to fix up her bangs. The time it took for the machine to heat up she used it on the rest of her hair. Grabbing the mousse she applied it to her just brushed and styled hair.

“You done?” Her brother asked annoyed walking into the room just as Jasmine was spraying her clothes with perfume.

“What do you want?” Jasmine asked him annoyed looking at the mirror to check if she had anything on her face that needed to be pushed away or washed.

“They’re going to be here any minute and they want you downstairs.” He said firmly and walked away. Jasmine pushed back her hair from her face and looked at the mirror one last time before walking slowly down the stairs. The family was sitting in the living room waiting for the arrival so they could all greet the guests. It was an how Egyptians and Arabs were raised. The doorbell finally rang and Jasmine jumped up to open it. Her brother was behind her ready to be his turn after his.

“Welcome.” Jasmine smiled towards her fathers friend in Arabic.

He shook her hand walking into the house taking off his shoes at the door mat before entering. Next up was the mother who grabbed Jasmine and hugges her giving her a kiss on each cheek. Then none other than the little girl who Jasmine gave a quick smile too and let pass. Then there was the last guest…their son. She didn’t know they had a son, so when she looked up shock ran through her body at the sight of the person in front of her.

“Where’s your son Zayn?” She heard her father ask. Zayn was looking at Jasmine with the same shock written on his face. The two tried getting themswleves together before their parents noticed any change.

“Right here.” Zayn walked in plastering a smile on his face. He walked over to Jasmine’s dad shaking his hand politely before doing the same to her brother and mom. When he saw her little sister though he grabbed her spinning her around.

Angelina giggled and followed him to his seat taking her comfort on his lap.

“Angelina, don’t bother Zayn.” He mother lectured her right away. She was about to hop off Zayn’s lap but he only held her tighter and looked to Jasmine’s mother.

“Leave her, she’s fine.” He let her know courtesy. Angelina gave a shy smile and looked over at her mother to make sure that it was okay to stay. Her mom nodded her head in agreement letting her know it was fine before getting lost in a conversation with her own friend.
