“It’s Friday and you all know what that means. Last day to sign up for Secret Santa. If you want to be part of it, make sure that you get your name into the teachers as soon as you can. Each class level will be giving each other presents. No switching once you get the person you get. Please, if you want to buy someone a gift then do it, but do not use Secret Santa as an excuse. That is all.” The principle’s voice echoed through the speakers of the school.
Trinity sighed at the sound of Secret Santa she had signed up, but now she felt like it was a bad idea. What if she got Vincent as the person she was supposed to buy things for? Then what was she going to do. She’s not even allowed to switch!
She picked up her pencil and got back to sketching the 3D picture on the board. This was so boring; she didn’t even want to do this anymore. Why did she have to sketch what the teacher had, was it even true that practice made perfect. Whatever…just this period and she had lunch. She placed her pencil down without making too much noise since everyone was too deep into concentration.
Scanning the room Trinity caught sight of the back of Nate’s head. He was constantly looking up and down at his paper and the board scribbling away with his pencil. He was such a sweet guy that always did his work…why wasn’t he with Macy already. Now that Mark was gone. Speaking of the devil…he sat a couple seats away with his head towards his paper not looking up once.
Maybe he’s not even doing his work. She thought that was the case, but seeing his pencil rapidly move on the paper was going against her thoughts. Oh whatever, he’s not even worth the time for her to look at him.
The third person that caught her eye was Lorenzo. He wasn’t doing anything at all. His pencil slowly dropped on his paper. It didn’t last long on the wood desk because he would pick it up and drop it again. He looked so sad, what was wrong with him.
Trinity wanted to go up to him but as soon as she heard the bell ring she ran out of her class quickly. Vincent had been trying to talk to her ever since her visit at the nurse’s office but she has been avoiding him.
Jasmine stood waiting outside Trinity’s class leaning with her back against the wall. As soon as she jumped out she looked at her startled.
“Wow you scared me you physic.” Trinity laughed leasing her friend.
Jasmine shook her head, “Oh please, just come with me.” She pushed Trinity along the way through the hallway.
“Where are we going?” Trinity asked not in the mood to do anything.
“You’re going to meet someone.” Jasmine smiled.
Trinity stopped in her tracks, “You better not be taking me to Vincent.” She spoke slowly making sure that Jasmine heard every word.
“Oh don’t worry I’m not.” Jasmine said carelessly pushing Trinity again.
The two kept arguing about the location they were going until Jasmine reached the end of the hallway that led to the door bringing them outside of the school.
“Why am I at the back of the school?” Trinity asked staring at the back door.
“Because, I want you to meet someone.” Jasmine said with a smile. The thought of Zayn being wrong just made her so happy. He was never going to be able to pass this test.
Trinity pushed open the door with her patience running too thin. The two girls walked out to find Zayn circling around the small grassy area.
