Chapter 1: Last day of summer!

It is the last day of summer before they start freshman year of college. Alex, Meredith, Lexie and Cristina are sitting in Meredith's living room. Jackson and April are away getting pizza. Since Meredith's mom's almost never home the friends usually hangs out there.

"Tomorrow is the first day of college" Cristina says while taking a sip of her soda.

"Actually it's only registr-" Cristina cuts Lexie of before she can say more.

"You really wanna go there Lexipedia?" she says. Lexie holds her hands up in the air.

"I won't"

"I wonder who our roommates will be" Alex says.

"If I'm not with Mer I will go crazy"

A second later the door opens.

"Pizza is here!" Jackson yells.

Cristina comes running. Meredith sets the table while Kepner carries the pizza in.

"Yummy in my tummy" Lexie says, everyone laughs before digging in.

30 minutes later they're all done.

"We need to be at school early tomorrow so that we can get the good classes" Lexie says.

"We can meet out front at 8 am" Meredith replies.

"Sounds good to me" Cristina says.

"I think I should get going" April says.

"Me too, I can drive you home Apes" Jackson offers.

"Thanks" she replies.

"Yeah i better get going too" Cristina says.

"Me too" Alex says.

"Okey see you guys tomorrow" Meredith says as the others walk to the door.

April jumps in the passenger seat in Jackson's car. He drives her home where they say goodbye.

"I'll pick you up at 7.45 tomorrow" Jackson says.

"I'll be ready" April replies before she shuts the car door and walks in to her house. She lives in a red house with her parents. They used to live on a farm in Moline before but they moved to Seattle when April started high school. Her parents are moving back to Moline in a couple of days since April is going to college.

At Meredith's house Lexie is panicking over what to wear on the first day of college.

"It's bad enough that i'll be one year younger, so i have to make a good first impression." Lexie yells while she's running around looking in everyones closets.

"What do you have in mind?" Meredith asks.

"Something sophisticated but not too uptight." Lexie replies.

"You are very picky Lex" Meredith laughs.

"I just don't want everyone to see me as a little girl that belongs in high school" Lexie says.

"No one will do that" Meredith says. "And if they do Cristina and I will kick their ass's"

"That would be nice" she says as she starts to laugh. Lexie starts to go through Meredith's closet and finds a grey shirt and some white jeans.

"I'll take these" she says.

"That's fine" Meredith answers. She goes in to the bathroom and starts to get ready for bed when the doorbell rings.

"I'll open!" Lexie yells while running down the stairs. She opens the door to fin Cristina standing there with a bag.

"My mom is driving me CRAZY! Can I stay here?" She asks.

"Sure just come in" Lexie says. Cristina goes upstairs and is putting her bag on Meredith's bed when Meredith comes out of the bathroom.

"Cristina? What are you doing here?

"My mom is insane so I'll just crash here" Cristina says as she walks inside the bathroom to brush her teeth. When they're all ready for bed Cristina lays down besides Meredith. A couple minutes later Lexie walks in too.

"I just couldn't sleep so can I sleep with you guys?" Lexie asks.

"Sure, just climb in Lex" Meredith says. Lexie climbs in the bed besides Meredith.

"Tomorrow the rest of our lives begin" Lexie says.

"Well at least our lives for the next four years" Cristina says. "Everything will depend on how we do in college.

"Goodnight Lex, goodnight Cristina" Meredith says.

"Night Mer" Lexie and Cristina says in unison.
