"Hi I'm Bethany, Owens fiancée"
The tension in the air could have been cut with a knife. Being a fly on the wall at Joe's bar that night would have been something for the gods. Despite the people in the bar being unaware of the horrible collision that could be about to happen, the atmosphere was frozen. The racing heartbeat of Owen Hunt could be heard from miles away, and the sweat starting to make it's way down his face was easily spotted. Neither Mark nor Derek had moved a limb, still sitting in the exact position they had been when Owen and his company walked in. The silence was broken when Cristina met Bethany's hand with hers.
"Cristina Yang" The surprised gasp that escaped Owens mouth as Cristina answered was barely audible.
"I am here to apologize for hitting you," Bethany's voice had a clear pinch which hinted at her lying and probably only wanted Owen to think she was sorry for what she did to Cristina. "Let bygones be bygones and all that, you know."
The second Cristina had spotted Bethany she had decided that she was going to be the bigger person. She was tired of all the drama surrounding Owen, so from now on she would forget they ever met and just focus on school. "Sure, bygones." Cristina answered.

"Lex! Wait up!" Lexie was walking across campus heading to the library when she heard someone call her name. She looked behind her to see her roommate, Sadie running towards her, "Hey." She said as she caught up with Lexie.
"Hey," Even though they were sharing a room, she and Sadie were not very close. They had barely had more than a couple conversations that were more than just greetings or small talk. Lexie hadn't really gotten a grip of what kind of person Sadie were. She was usually great at reading people but Sadie seemed to be very good at disguising her true intentions.
"Have you done the biology essay?" Sadie asked and motioned for them to sit on the bench next to them. Lexie only nodded so she continued. "Could you maybe help me out with mine?".
Biology was the only course the two of them had together, something Lexie really appreciated. This wasn't the first time Sadie had asked her for help with her schoolwork, and usually Lexie did not mind helping her peers but with Sadie it had started becoming a habit. This is why she surprised herself when she answered: "Sure".
"Great see you later!" And with that Sadie was already halfway across campus.
Still contemplating how she was going to manage to do all her schoolwork and have time to help Sadie, Lexie did not notice someone sitting next to her. It wasn't until the body next to her started talking that she snapped out of her trans.
"What's up little Grey?" Mark Sloan said. Lexie looked up meeting his blue eyes.
"Nothing, just headed to the library." Lexie took her bag and started to get up from the bench when Mark grabbed her arm.
"Derek is wondering why your sister is ignoring him."
"He'll have to ask her." Lexie started to walk towards the library, Mark following her.
"Well he would if she'd text him back."
"Well I don't know. All I know is that she has some things she needs to deal with right now. If you want to know more, you'll have to ask her."
"Alright, thanks anyway I guess." Before Lexie could answer him, he was already gone.

"Yang, you have to talk to Hunt," Jackson said. The group was sitting in the cafeteria having lunch. Several times during the past few days, Owen had been trying to talk to Cristina, but she was staying true to her inner promise to ignore him. This did not stop him from harassing her friends in to talking to her from him. Jackson was the one who suffered the most since they were on the same football team and Hunt had the power to decide how much Jackson got to play. "He has benched me everytime I said you didn't want to talk to him. I have barely played all week."
"He will stop eventually." Cristina said, caught up in her own thoughts. She hadn't really kept her promise, she wasn't talking to Owen or in any way had contact with him but she was still thinking about him. She didn't want to but something about him still intrigued her, she did however know that nothing could ever happen between them again, but that didn't stop her from imagining a little.
"Cristina please." Jackson pleaded, he even used his puppy eyes. It was something he had used since he was a little boy. Pouting with his lip and making his pure baby blues looked sad and pleading had always gotten him whatever he wanted, something he wasn't against using in every situation.
"Fine pretty boy." Cristina shrugged and continued to stare into oblivion. The rest of the conversation continued but to her it just sounded like mumble in the far distance.
"You guys are coming to my game tonight right?" If Cristina talked to Owen, then he might let Jackson play tonight, or at least he hoped so. A couple of guys on the team used to practice during the evenings so Jackson had still gotten to play a little at least.
"Of course." Meredith said. Alex and Lexie both nodded in agreement and Cristina gave Jackson a small wave, which he took as a yes.
"Sure, I might be a little late though," April was chewing on a french fry, not noticing everyone looking at her after her statement. "What?" Her voice was innocent, just as always.
Cristina's attention was caught and she turned towards April. "You got a date, Kepner?"
"No of course she doesn't. Right Apes?" Jackson said, or more stated, laughing. The words had already escaped his mouth when he saw the hurt look on Aprils face. It wasn't visible for long, if you blinked you'd miss it, but it was there. Alex kicked him in his leg mouthing "dude".
"No. I just have something to do." April answered quickly before Jackson could apologize. She took her tray and quickly left the cafeteria, leaving the table quiet.
"Mark Sloan is stalking me!" Lexie slammed her tray on the table and sat down, an annoyed look spread across her pale face, clearly not noticing the awkward silence now taking place at the table.
"He's what?" Meredith asked worried. Lexie was her little sister so of course she was protective of her and wanted her to be safe. Plus she didn't really trust Derek's friends, she didn't even know if she trusted him.
"He keeps asking why you're ignoring Derek. Plus I have lost my room key so now I have to find Sadie."
"What is it with you guys stalking your friends?" Alex laughed and bit down on his apple. He found it very amusing, especially since this gave him a reason not to think about the brunette who had been occupying his mind since the bonfire. He had stopped by Aprils room a couple of times to see if she was there, but everytime she had been out. Alex was starting to think that she might be ignoring him, and getting April to cover for him. It wasn't that he didn't enjoy Aprils company, he just didn't enjoy it in the same way. She was probably starting to pick up on the fact that she wasn't the reason he had been hanging out in her room so much.
"I'm not ignoring Derek," Everyone looked at Meredith with a look that said 'Really' "I'm just avoiding him." Meredith's tone marked that the conversation was now over and there would be no further discussion. Cristina didn't agree but she didn't have time to argue.
"I have class. Gotta go." She picked up her bag and got ready to leave, but before she did she picked up her phone and went into her messages and started typing.
Let Avery play. We can talk after the game.
Owen Hunt:
Great! Meet me behind the bleachers.
