Chapter 3: Football tryouts and McDreamy

It's been a week since they started college. Alex moved in with Meredith and Cristina since his roommate was a nut job according to Alex. Today Jackson's going to try out for the football team. Jackson is getting ready in his room. Alex is sitting on Jackson's bed.

"I can't believe you're going to be a stupid jock" Alex says while eating a chips.

"First of I'm not a jock yet" Jackson replies. "Second of a-" Jackson gets interrupted before he can finish his sentence. Meredith, Cristina and April barges in.

"You won't believe what Cristina just told me" Meredith exclaims. "She had a SEX dream about the guy from the vending machine!".

"Owen?" Alex asks.

"Yes!"

"It means nothing" Cristina says.

"It means everything!!" Meredith yells.

Suddenly the door opens.

"What means everything?" Sadie says while walking inside"

"Are you like spying on us?" April says.

"No, but the whole campus could hear you yelling". She answers.

"I think I should get going" Jackson says. "You're coming?" He says while taking his stuff.

Alex nods and stands up. The group follows and exits the room. They reach the football field and Jackson starts to take his shirt off. Several girls start to stare at him immediately.

"Whoho" Cristina whistles. "Pretty boy has groupies".

"Whatever" Jackson says.

A moment later Lexie runs up to them.

"Sorry I'm late" she says. "I got caught up with homework".

"Look!" Meredith says pointing at three guys. "Isn't that Owen"

"I guess" Cristina replies nonchalant.

"I didn't know he was on the football team" Jackson says. "Do you think he's good?" Before anyone can answers Owen scores a touchdown.

"I think he's fine" Meredith says. "In more than one way if ya know what I mean" she says causing everyone to laugh.

Two hours and a tired Jackson later the practice is finished.

"College football is nothing like high school football" Jackson says .

"Did you make the team?" April asks.

"They'll post it tomorrow".

Before they leave the field Owen approaches Jackson. His eyes wander and lands on Cristina.

Two guys comes up behind Owen. One of them has dark brown fluffy wonderful hair. The other guy has dark blond hair and strong jawlines.

"Nice job out there" The guy with blond hair says. "I'm Mark Sloan, but you can call me Sloan. This is Derek and I can see your friend already knows Hunt" He says looking at Owen who's staring at Cristina.

"Thanks" Jackson replies.

Sloan and the other guys walks away.

"That Derek guy was very dreamy" Meredith says.

"Come on, let's gooo" Cristina says. "I'm bored".

The group goes to the common room. Meredith, Lexie and Cristina sits down in one of sofas while April and Jackson sits down in another and Alex sits in an armchair.

"When are you and Hunt gonna hit it?" Alex says. "I can see you want to"

"Oh shut it evil spawn" Cristina responds. "I'm not the one with a crush on McDreamy"

"McWho? Alex says.

"That Derek guy, Mer thought he was dreamy" She answers. "And she has a crush on him"

"I do not!" Meredith says. Cristina gives her a 'I don't believe you' look. "I don't!"

"Wanna order pizza?" Jackson asks.

"Pizza could be nice" Cristina says looking at Meredith.

"I could go for some pizza" Meredith says.

"Why don't we go out?" Lexie asks.

"Why not" Alex says.

"Let me just grab my coat" April says as she walks to her room followed by Meredith, Cristina and Lexie.

30 minutes and a whole lot of arguing later they are sitting down in a booth at Joe's. They ordered and got their food.

"I'm so full!" Lexie exclaims after finishing her last bite.

"Me too" Cristina says.

"I need tequila!" Meredith yells.

"We should head home, it's school tomorrow" Jackson says.

"I think I'm gonna stay a little while"

"You're sure?" Cristina asks

"Yeah, I'll see you guys later"

"Bye" the group says

"Bye"

They start to walk back to campus. When they reach the dorms they say goodnight.

Meredith is still sitting in the bar drinking tequila.

"Double scotch single malt please" a voice next to Meredith says. The man that the voice belongs to turns around and smiles to her.

"Hey, I'm Derek" the man says and holds his hand out.

"Meredith" she answers shaking his hand.

"So what brings you here?" he asks. Meredith doesn't respond. "Are you ignoring me?"

"I'm trying to"

"You shouldn't"

"Why?"

"Because I'm someone you need to get to know to love"

"Haha, so if I get to know you I'll love you?" Meredith laughs.

"Yes you will"

"You really love yourself don't you"

"I'm just hiding my pain" They both laughs. "So what's your story?

"I don't have a story, I'm just a girl in a bar"

"And I'm just a guy in a bar"

This chapter was kind of boring, but it will get more interesting.
