Well, it seems things are almost back to normal...almost. Joey marched right into the studios this morning, seemingly his old self again save the dark bags under his eyes, and he had quite the air of determination about him. He says he's got a billion new ideas, which does roughly nothing for us artists except give us a fright. Joey ideas are dangerous ideas. But at least it's productivity.
In the meantime, they've put the credit frame on Dance of the Little Devil. Bold face: "Written and Directed by Joey Drew." The pity I felt for Joey last week has pretty well vanished.
Not only was I not credited for my story, Sammy wasn't credited for his masterpiece of a score. Oh, did Sammy had some choice words in mind for Mister Joey Drew! He argued in defense of not only himself, but, surprisingly, me! And also poor Henry. Henry's been with this company before any of us. He's a co-founder! He's a keystone artist! And he has yet to be credited. Joey's argument was that the little ones won't sit to watch a cartoon if they have to sit through all of our names first.
Oh, who reads the credits anyhow? All that matters is the picture itself, and this picture is fine, fine, fine.
