Yesterday, Joey gave us these recorders, and he told us to document our thoughts. He says that if everyone gets their thoughts out, vents their anger, expresses their fears, et cetera, things'll run smoother. I think I understand what he's getting at; he wants us to keep a diary, keep us from feeling isolated in our isolated studio. That makes sense to me.
But the explanation he gave, well, needless to say, it was bizarre. Everything is bizarre with that man, I'm noticing. I don't remember exactly what he said, but it was something along the lines of "giving the studio a more human spirit."
He assured us that, whatever we record, they're entirely private. I'm not sure I believe him.
But what do I know? It's only my fourth week here. Mama used to tell us not to rush judgments. "Impressions aren't always on the mark," she'd say, or, "You'll just have to wait'n'see!"
Oh, I hope she was right.
