Chase - The Thunder Pup: Season 5

Meeting Longinus

-Adventure Bay, Paw Patrol tower-

Zuma: " Hey Ryder?"

Ryder: " Yeah, Zuma?"

Zuma: " Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Father Guerra mention something a mysterious virus being released in the Middle East?"

Ryder: " That's right! Let me see what he's up to. Been a while since we've heard from him. (calls Father Guerra) Hey, Father Guerra. You there?"

Father Guerra: " Ryder, Athen just discovered the location of a man named Longinus. She says he's a supporter of Chase and the spirits."

Ryder: " Longinus?"

Father Guerra: " Guns man and priest. Crazy but if you want answers or even guns, he's your man. I'm sending you his coordinates. Go see him."

Ryder: " Ok. (ends the call) Pups, and girls you can come as well if you want, we're going to visit a man named Longinus. Says he knows about Chase. Let's go."

They got on their gear and rode in the Paw Patroller to Longinus' location.

Rubble: " This is the place? Looks like an abandoned cabin."

Ryder: " Don't judge a book by its cover, Rubble."

They went inside and saw Longinus.

Longinus: " Welcome. I am Longinus and you... you are Ryder and Paw Patrol; Rubble, Skye, Zuma, Marshall, Everest, Tracker and Rocky; along with more pretty female pups! Welcome to my church, or least it used to be."

Ryder: "...that sells guns?"

Longinus: " Of course! For the meek shall inherit the Earth, my friend. All they need are some good guns. Revelation 5:5, it is the most... invigorating read. "And one of the elders sayeth unto me, Weep not; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David hath prevailed to open the book, and loose the seven seals thereof!"

Ryder: " Uh-"

Longinus: " It is our savior! It is our savior returned to us as a lion, a warrior! So, I started thinking to myself. When the Son of God is reborn, what gun would he use?"

Ryder: " What--?"

Longinus: " When Christ returns to break the seven seals and bring about the Rapture, he returns as a lion, yes? A lion needs teeth! What gun would Jesus choose? Deuteronomy 32:47? "For there are no empty words for you, but your very life...? Or maybe! Revelations 19:11. "The discretion of a man deferreth his anger."

Ryder: " I don't think any of us understand what you're--?"

Longinus: " A soldier knows. A soldier always knows... For we have seen the rapture and survived it. You need guns to righteous work, Ryder, but that's not always the case...for every gun is a bible, for every bullet... a sermon. And if you succeed in showing Chase that you are better than what he sees and prove that everything he saw in your memory and the future is wrong. He will give you something. A reward. It is the will of God. Here. This is for luck."(gives a charm)

Ryder: " Are sure this will help us?"

Longinus: " Only if you help yourself. And he said to them, "Go forth into the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole of creation." Don't fail, Ryder. That goes you too, pups and pretty girls."

Paw Patrol returned to the lookout.
