The Loyal Companion

-Night time; Paw Patrol tower-

The ex-girlfriends, not Skye, were sleep.

Ryder: " I really hope this charm works."

Zuma: " Us too, Ryder. Us too."

Father calls.

Ryder: " Father. Are you okay?"

Father Guerra: " I'm okay, Ryder. But get this: Athena found the location of a man named Jin-Soon."

Ryder: " Okay. Maybe this Jin-Soon is one of Merryweather, then maybe we can reason with him."

Father Guerra: " Mmm-mmm. He's a fighter. Allied with Chase. I'm sending you his coordinates. You need to stop him, Ryder. He may look innocent, but he is a dangerous man."

Ryder: " That's all the reason we need. (hangs up) Let's roll, pups."

They went to Jin-Soon's location.

Zuma: " This is the place? It looks kinda creepy."

Ryder: " Agreed. Let's go inside."

Inside was a bunch of people. It was a big restaurant.

Ryder: (calls Father Guerra) " Father, there's a lot of people in here."

Father Guerra: " God. Dios Mio. What are they doing?"

Ryder: " Partying. Number one thing. Where is Jin-Soon?"

Father Guerra: " That's him, Ryder. On the balcony on the second floor, right above you."

Ryder: " Okay, Father. We'll let you know what happens."

Ryder and pups went to the balcony on the second floor and saw Jin-Soon, who was typing on a computer and enjoying some tea with a bagel and Chicken Alfredo.

Ryder: " Jin-Soon. Are you Jin-Soon?"

Dennis: " Local nickname. Who's asking?"

Ryder: " Name's Ryder."

Dennis: " Ryder? (recognizes him) Captain Ryder! We meet face-to-face, eh?"

Ryder: " Are you Jin-Soon?"

Dennis: " I thought I answered you. "Local Nickname". Name's Rogers. Dennis Rogers."

Skye: " Dennis?"

Dennis: " Skye?"

Skye: " OH MY GOD. DENNIS!"

Dennis: " Skye!"(runs to her and hugs her)

Ryder: " You know Skye?"

Dennis: " Of course. I was her old adopter. We were separated 'cause she thought I replaced her with another. Correction: I was taking care of my friend's dog while he was away for a few hours."

Ryder: " Oh."

Dennis: " Okay, Skye. Enough. I'm glad you're still in one piece. You're not hurt, are you?"

Skye: " No. Only emotionally."

Dennis: " Why's that?"

Skye: " I lost Chase."

Dennis: " I heard. But listen, just listen, all of you. Merryweather is forcing you to work for and with them. You're on the wrong side. Don't you see? Didn't Chase try to keep you alive back there in Durgesh? Didn't he? Okay. Never mind that. I have to warn you. Merryweather is using you to develop a program called Develop VII. They're growing--how to describe--a poison called Darkness X1 and it's strong enough to wipe an entire ecosystem; for humans, that's about 20 to 4.1 thousand dead per cubic feet, though you can stop them if you stop believing their lies."

Ryder: " We'll try. They helped us defeat Chase before conquered Adventure Bay."

Dennis: " Whatever that means to you, I don't really care, nor wanna know."

Rubble: " Are we suppose to just trust without proof?"

Dennis: " Let me help you. Please. This guilt will destroy me otherwise."

Ryder: " If you're telling the truth, we'll talk more."

Dennis: " Please, please, time is of the essence. The head commander is Colonel Fred Tumble. Do your thing, Ryder. And listen to yourself talk. Hurry!"
