"Beautiful!" Hannah exclaimed as she forced me into a twirl.
My jaw dropped as I stared at myself in the reflection. In just under an area, Hannah had turned me into looking like Princess Fiona, from looking like ogre Fiona.
I don't know where she got it from, but I was wearing a red off the shoulder, floor length gorgeous dress. Hannah believed it made my figure look ten times as good as it usually was. Yes, I agree I look good for tonight, but I wouldn't agree with Hannah.
She had brushed and braided my hair into two Dutch braids, and tied the ends with little red bows. Of course, she had insisted on plastering my face with makeup, and reluctantly I agreed, but only so much so.
Hannah dug out a pair of red heels that I had only ever worn once, the day after I bought them when we took Mum out for her birthday dinner.
I twirled again slowly in the mirror and silently admire the lift and spin of the seam of the dress. Hannah grabbed my shoulders from behind me, and shook them slightly. "You look really pretty, Brookey."
I spun around and took a proper look at what Hannah was wearing. She had on a sky blue halter neck dress that just swept past her ankles. Her hair was curled and hung just past her shoulders. She had a pair of white three inch heels on her feet, adding a significant amount to her height.
"Oh my god." I exclaimed, holding Hannah by her shoulders at arms length, taking in her looks. "You look absolutely gorgeous!"
Hannah blushed profusely and hid behind her hands. "Aww, but you're cuter!"
I stared at her like she was crazy - and between me and you, I wouldn't second guess it. "No way! You're much prettier than me!"
She smiled like crazy and gave me a big warm and fuzzy hug. "It's sad to think that you don't have a proper date to dance."
I smiled weakly. "I guess.... but Austin deserves everything he's gonna get tonight. Except for me!"
"He doesn't deserve you though," Hannah said and I slapped my palm against my forehead.
"Yeah, that's what I meant." I said, but she had a puzzled look on her face. "Nevermind then."
Hannah picked up a cream coloured purse from my bed and chucked it at me. "Store all the goodies in there.
'Goodies?"
She pulled a plastic bag out of practically thin air, and dumped the contents onto my bed. Out dropped several kinds of bags of lollies, from squishy ones to liqourice and sour worms.
"What are these for? I mean, i'm not complaining." I asked her.
"Celebratory lollies! After we get payback on Austin." She said with a huge smile on her face. She shoved two packets towards me and i packed them into my purse, alongside my phone, and Hannah shoved another two in hers.
"We better hurry up. Austin should be here to pick you up any minute." Hannah said.
It was 6:30. Half an hour until the dance. Austin had told me he would come by at around 6:40 to pick me up. Hannah and i both slightly cleaned up my mess of a room; chucking clothes back into my wardrobe, straightening the covers on my bed.
As we walked down the hall towards the living room, I said to her. "With all this talk about Austin and how we're going to get him back , you haven't told me who you're going to the dance with."
Hannah blushed. "Uh...someone."
I pushed Hannah down onto one of our couches, and stood in front of her. "Who is taking you to the dance?"
