Chapter 17 - The Blonde Leading The Blind

            I open my eyes and the clarity almost blinds me.I'm in a unknown room.Instead of the creamy color, the curtains are white.

            The pillows are blue and a little bigger than mine.And my bookcase is not there.What?

            I get up and realize that instead of my comfortable pajamas, I'm wearing a man's shirt in the blue color.I sit down and try to remember last night.Shouldn't I be in Aria's room?

            "Spence, are you okay?" Aria asked.I rolled my eyes.

            "Obviously." I whispered, but the tears still coming.I was strong at school, but after the Alison's messages....

            "Hey, do you want to stay at my house tonight?" Toby asked, catching my hands.

            "I'm sorry Aria." I said.She rolled her eyes.

            "Never mind.You need to be with him.It will be better to you." she said and smiled.

            I smell something.Waffles.To be more specific, banana and chocolate waffles.Coffe.I look around.Is this Toby's room?

            My phone is in a nightstand.I catch it and turn it on.It's 6:32 AM.I go to the bathroom and change in my chlothes.I slowly go downstairs.Then, in the last stair step, my feet makes a big noise.Suddenly, Toby turns his head.

           He smiles and put the plate with waffles on the table.I walk to him and hug him.

          "Morning, beautiful." he says.

          "Hey" I smile. "So...how this happened?"

          "Well, you wanted to stay here." he says and we both sit at the table. "Jenna was sleeping in her friends' house and now she went to her flute class.I think she forgot her phone."

          "Oh my God, Toby." I get up quickly. "My parents...they should be freaking out right now.My mom will kill me."

          "Do you want to call to Aria from my phone?You two can say to your mom that you slept in her house." Toby says.

          "Yes, please." he gives me his phone and I call Aria.I explain everything to her, and she says that if my mom call her, she'll lie.

            As the call end, I give the phone to Toby and smile.

            "I'll be back in a blink of an eye." I say and go to his room.I catch my phone.There's 24 calls of my mom, 12 of my dad, 3 of Melissa, and a bunch of messages.Uh-oh.

            I dial my mom's number and she attends immediately.I open my mouth to say something, but she interrupts me.

          "SPENCER JILL HASTINGS, WHERE ARE YOU?YOU-"

          "Mom, I can explain." I say.

          "It's better you have a good explanation, or you'll be in so much trouble." she huffs.

          "Listen, I was at Aria's after school.We went buy frozen yogo.I fell and my leg was really hurt, and I couldn't come back home.So, Ella said that I could sleep there.My phone battery died and I didn't found my charger.I just found it this morning.Aria and I are at a coffe shop now.I promise I'll back in 30 minutes." I say.

          "Oh God.I was so worried." she says. "Ok.Be home in 30 minutes.Love you sweetie."

          The call ends and I quickly get my backpack and my phone, going downstairs.Toby and I sit at the table, and he puts a plate with a waffle in front of me.He starts to eat his waffles.

          "Thanks God they'll not kill me." I whisper. "My mom would-"

          "See this?People call it fork." Toby shows me a fork and I lock a laugh. "You can use it to eat çthe breakfast that your boyfriend just cooked for you."

          I smile at his cuteness.

          "I love the way that sounds." I say in a flirty voice, still smiling. "You calling yourself my boyfriend."

          "Eat." he laughs and we kiss.

          When we finish our food, Toby looks at the clock.

          "I think it's time to go..." I say. "Bye Toby."

          "Can I drive you?" he asks "I can stop at one block before."

         "Sure" I say.

         "Just wait a second, I forgot my keys upstairs." he says and go upstairs quickly.

         While I'm waiting for Toby, something rings.I look at a desk in the corner.It's Jenna's phone.I walk to it slowly, feeling weird.Why I am doing this?

           It's a really weird phone, but I know something about it and can use it.

                 

          1 new message from Ali.

          Hey Jenn, can you call me back please?We need to talk about Toby and Spencer. -A

         So, Jenna is in this with they?I knew she had a crush on Toby.I look to the other messages.

        Thank you for that in the morning.See you tomorrow, at the mall, right? -A

       Jenn, can you buy me and the girls some coffe at The Brew before our meeting?We will be waiting you in the mall.Love ya! -A

                Ali isn't Jenna's friend.She's using her, just that.She doesn't care about how Jenna feels about Toby.She doesn't care about Jenna.She only cares about herself.What a bitch.

                And Jenna is thinking that Alison really likes her and that they will be friends with her.

                And here we go.
