Loki

I stood there, silently pondering over what the Doctor had said. Come downstairs? Why hadn't he handed me in already? The rest of the Avengers cam marching in to the room.

"Come on down now Loki!" Strange called out. I suddenly heard his voice in my mind. "Do you know how to spirit travel?" He asked. I thought of the word yes and imagined sending it to him. Like in an E-Mail. Why, I had no idea, but he seemed to get the message.

"Make it look like your coming down. Then, run. They should follow you. Bring your spirit back and I'll teleport you guys somewhere safe."

I shut my eyes, concentrating hard, imagining myself appearing at the foot of the stairs. I opened my eyes, and there I was. I walked down the stairs loudly and stumbled back into the room, my hands raised. "Ah, Loki. Have you seen a girl anywhere?" Stark asked. I shook my head.

"Liar." He snarled. "We saw you jump out of your cell window, only to land safely. You then had a chat with a girl who then teleported the two of you here. The girl in question is to be brought in for an interrogation. So, if you don't mind, can you go and get her please?"

"Why does she need to be interrogated?" I asked.

"She seems to just pop up out of nowhere. Fury's feeling suspicious."

"And," Hawkeye added, "she's working for you, so that's definitely bad."

"Banner worked with me." I pointed out.

The scientist cleared his throat. "We were doing something good."

"And she isn't? Just because you don't know her intentions, it doesn't mean she's evil, does it?"

I was actually feeling proud of myself at this point. I had just made a philosophical point that left a guy with a tonne of PHDs speechless, when Thor came crashing in. Literally. He blasted the ceiling down and crashed down in between the Avengers and me.

Now, normally, I would be over the moon to see Thor land in between me and the Hulk, but in all honesty, I would have preferred the latter. Thor turned to Strange. "Where's Loki?" He growled.

"Right behind you." Strange answered.

"No he isn't."

"What are you, blind?" I would have actually admired his courage, but I could hear his thoughts.

'Oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh go- LOKI RUN YOU DUMBASS! I CAN'T KEEP THOR FROM ATTACKING YOU!' I was about to when I heard Banner gasp. He was pointing at me. I looked down.

I was turning transparent.

I had to get back into my body. ASAP. If I didn't, I would turn to smoke. Me and my body.

I shut my eyes and imagined my body sucking me in, and me running for my precious life. When I opened them again, I had already reached the door. I was about to turn the door handle when I remembered something. No, someone.

Hazel was still passed out. "Gods dammit." I muttered. I turned to look at her. She was no longer asleep. On the contrary, she looked ready to kill someone.

I caught Strange's eye. He nodded encouragingly.

I took out my knife and threw it. Right at Thor's head.
