Hazel

I was getting worried.

Frank was taking a while. I was just about to storm the building when a gold blur flew and crashed into me. I fell back with a shriek. Azra hugged me so tight I thought she was going to crack my ribs. Her fiery wings were fading. She finally let go and helped me up. Her eyes were red and she looked faint. "Hi Hazel." She sighed. With that, she fell forward, her wings finally disappearing.

"I swear down, she faints more than Jason ever did." Frank  sighed, walking towards us. Clarisse was walking next to him.

"We'd better get her somewhere safe so that she can get her strength up." She ordered.

"We could go to my place." Peter suggested.

"It's not safe enough. When she got cut back at the Avenger's HQ, her heart stopped beating. We need somewhere secure." The tall blonde man responded.

"We could go to my place. It has a lot more medical things. It'll be safer." Tony Stark decided, walking over to her.

At that moment, a bolt of lightning smashed into the ground right next to Azra.

The new son of Zeus dropped to the ground, his eyes glowing white with power. His black hair had small strings of lighting darting from strand to strand, like a bunch of small snakes. "Well well well. It seems that the gangs have joined together." He sneered. Annabeth moved towards him. He raised his hand to stop her.

He reached into the pocket of his jeans and produced a small remote with a two buttons on it. One blue; one red. He rested his index finger on the red button and his middle finger on the blue one. "One more step and I'll raise the alarm." His index finger pushed into the button just a little bit more. Annabeth made a low sound in her throat, but stepped back.

We all stood still for what seemed like an eternity. We were all sure that the son of Zeus was going to press the button. He looked like he thought that we were gonna launch a surprise attack on him. His face was tense. The white glow in his eyes was fading fast enough that I could see the hazel within seconds. A couple more seconds passed. Then I noticed something. The edges of the remote were framed in Imperial gold. A small amount, but it was there. I had an idea.

The mind reading thing in my mind still hadn't been removed. It probably came with a tracker, which was probably how the Avenger's knew where to find us. The Avengers who could read my mind were all present, so that meant that I could communicate with them.

Hey guys. I spoke in my mind. The Avengers all looked at me. I have an idea.

What? Someone replied. The voice was male.

When I give you the code word, attack. I replied.

What's the code word?

I thought for a second. Rochambeau.

Isn't that the code word from Hamilton? Someone else asked. I could just about hear the smile in their voice.

Maybe.

Rochambeau it is.

"Why are you all staring at Levesque? You in love or something?" The sneering voice of the son of Zeus interrupted our conversation. He wasn't paying attention to the remote. I decided to act.

I reached out for the remote with my powers, willing it to come to me. It shot out of his hand and I caught it and pressed the blue button, the point aimed at the son of Zeus. A blue ball of light erupted from the tip and flew straight for him. The poor boy didn't have time to move out of the way before it hit him straight in the stomach, sending him backwards. When the light faded, he stood there, shaking. His hazel eyes were clouded over with pain. This was our only chance.

"ROCHAMBEAU!" I bellowed. The Avengers ran straight at the boy, weapons locked and loaded.

"Wait!" He panted. He raised his palms. "There's no point in fighting me."

"He has a point." Frank sighed. "He's too weak. He looks like he can barely stand up."

"Hey!" He protested. He coughed and blood spurted out of his mouth.

"Calm it kid." Captain America warned. "You'll make your condition worse."

I thought I saw the shadow of a smile flicker over the boy's face for a second.

"What's your name kid?"

"Cosmo Spark."

I just about stifled a laugh. Cosmo Spark. It sounded like the name of a cheap superhero.

For the second time, I saw a smile flash across his face. For the second time, he pressed it down, plastering a very exaggerated grimace on his face. He was hiding something. I was sure of it.

I took a mental headcount, finding everyone's faces. We were missing someone. Azra. I swept my eyes over the area, double and triple checking every crack and crevice. No where. There was only one possible way she could have disappeared in her current state.

I marched up to Cosmo and punched him in the stomach, right where the flashy thing hit him. Blood flew out his mouth as he flew backwards and hit a wall with a groan. "What was that for!" The blonde haired woman yelped.

"Where is Azra?" I growled at Cosmo.

"I don't know what you're talking about." He wheezed. Blood flecked his lips like miniature rubies.

I pushed him further into the wall. "I'm not gonna repeat myself. Where is she?"

He sighed and slowly got to his feet. He opened his mouth to talk.

Then he screamed.

The sound was demonic. It filled my brain and left me stunned. I couldn't feel. I couldn't see. I couldn't think. I probably lost my balance, because I found myself on the ground. My head pounded. The screaming had stopped. When had it stopped? How long had I been lying here?

These thoughts took so long to process. I couldn't move anything. My vision was blurred. I felt liquid drip down my nose and ears. That can't be good. I thought.

I heard a muffled thud in front of me. Through the blurred haze of my vision, I could see a cloud of black hair framing a pale blob of a face.

That was the last thing I saw before the all-too familiar darkness took over once again.
