Loki
Something was stirring. I could sense it.
As I waltzed through Avengers Headquarters, trying to find my way out, I could feel something happening. As I reached corridor 17-d or something, I saw something weird. A portal was there, fizzing and sparking around the edges. I saw Nico Di Angelo and the Wizard talking. Strange then turned around and walked right back through.
I willed myself to be invisible. Strange walked towards me. I shut my eyes, but I heard him walk right past me. I decided to follow him. He walked a few more corridors down until he reached corridor 6-a. There was a door made of vibranium, with a call button. Strange pressed the button, and I heard a voice through the speakers by the button.
"Who is it?"
"Doctor Stephen Strange."
"Let me scan your eye."
A little screen popped out of the door, a blinking light on it, probably a camera. Strange then took something out of his eye, a piece of plastic. A contact lens.
A coloured contact lens.
At that point I may or may not have gasped a little too audibly. I had good reason to though. Strange's eye was completely black. Like Thor's eye was when he went rabid.
Strange's eyes swept over the hallway and hit me. He smirked and his eyes glowed. His gaze was hard and cold, but I didn't look away.
Big mistake.
And icy chill filled my veins, and in seconds I had frozen. Literally. Only my eyes were free, and I could see ice spreading over my skin. I felt it on my eyelids, keeping my eyes from closing. The ice started to move towards my eyes, and at the same time, the ice bled into my skin. My invisibility melted off me.
It didn't stop there.
As soon as the ice covered every part of me, inside and out, it moved closer to my eyes. In seconds, it went into my eye sockets. I noticed that Strange hadn't broken his gaze. His eyes had changed from pure black to an icy blue.
An idea hit me. Maybe, if I broke my gaze, I could stop (and hopefully reverse) the process. I could feel the ice slowly spreading. It was now or never.
But as soon as I tried, my eyes wouldn't move. The ice had entered every part of my socket now, and I could feel it seeping into my eyes.
I tried screaming for help, tried calling for someone to save me from this horrible cold, but every time I tried, the ice silenced the sound.
Helplessness consumed me, and I stopped fighting. I felt my body relax slightly, and the ice consumed my eye balls. And something weird happened.
Instead of dying or something, I felt something move into my mind, pushing me to the edge. An evil thing. It took control of my body, my everything. I was forced to watch from the sidelines. My body moved towards a reflective door, and what I saw nearly made me fade from despair.
My eyes were black. Pure black. Like Thor. Like Strange.
I had become one of them.
