Hazel
Azra had been missing for a while now. Last time anyone had seen her, she was running towards the forest. Me, Nico and Will Solace slunk past the trees, searching for her. There was a massive bolt of thunder hitting a small area in the woods. We all ran into the area within seconds.
It was a huge clearing. A small patch of burned grass lay dying, sticking out like a sore thumb. Azra was there. She sighed and muttered something under her breath, and then turned away from us and walked off. We slowly followed. She gasped, and we all ran to her, still staying covered behind the thick trees.
Something was holding her. A knife was pressed against her throat and her arms were pinned to her sides by a tentacle-like thing. A hand was clamped over her mouth. At a closer inspection, I realised the something was a person. A person with long, black hair. A person wearing green with a few hints of gold.
Loki.
He muttered something to her, his eyes full of malice. I then noticed something weird about his eyes. They weren't pure black. They were navy blue. The tentacle seemed to come out from his side, just underneath his rib-cage.
I blanketed us with the Mist, and slowly stepped forward. Loki didn't react. I cautiously walked behind him, my sword now drawn. I heard a voice in my head, a familiar voice.
Hazel. Be careful. Loki might be able to see through the Mist. He is the god of deception after all. I don't think he's been possessed by a normal ice-creature. His aura is more... watery. He's probably been possessed by a water creature. I mean, he's-
Azra's voice suddenly cut off and I stiffened, my body tense. When nothing happened, I decided to give Azra a hand. I slowly moved the knife away, but it hadn't moved an inch when Loki called "Hazel, Hazel, Hazel. That's not a very good idea now, is it?"
Before I could react, Loki spun around and flung his knife at me. I dodged just in time, but I could feel my hair move as the knife zipped past. A loud thunk told me that it had been embedded into a tree.
I heard a loud clattering sound and turned to see a large group of skeletons advancing on Loki. Nico stood next to them. His face was pale and sweaty, and he leaned against Will. Will's fingers danced above Nico's head, gold light pouring from them into Nico's forehead. He was using the Gift of Apollo to keep Nico alive.
I felt a hum in my head, and turned to see Azra's pata lying in the dirt. I tried to pick it up, but when my hand reached it, my fingers froze. I pulled my hand back. It was probably from the depths of Chaos. I used my magic to lift up the sword, and managed to slash the tentacle off. Loki screamed in pain, and in the confusion, Azra stepped on his foot (probably breaking a toe or two) and he let go of her. She scooted away from him and picked up her pata, giving me a grateful smile.
Loki turned to me, his blue eyes glowing with hate. I examined his eyes a bit closer. No, they weren't glowing with hate, they were glowing with-
"HAZEL, NO!" Azra and Nico shouted together. My body felt weightless, as if I was underwater. A cold sensation filled my body, like cold water filling a bottle. The sensation was about to reach my face when Azra dove onto me, tackling me to the ground. My eye contact was broken, and the sensation wore off, leaving me feeling warm.
"Thanks." I muttered.
Azra smiled. "No problem." She helped me up. Loki stood beside her.
"You, young lady, are getting way too involved." He growled. "You're lucky that you're off limits, or you would have already died already. I would have your blood spilling everywhere, marking my territory and-"
"Yeah yeah. You want to mark your territory by spilling my special blood and blah blah blah. One question though," Azra interrupted. "Weren't you possessed by an ice creature? How are you so... watery?"
"A. That was two questions. B. I have evolved from ice to water."
"So the ice creature got bored of you and a water creature took over."
Loki didn't answer.
What on earth is Azra doing? I thought. Just then, two of Nico's skeletons jumped on Loki, keeping him down. Loki tried to wriggle out, but more skeletons joined in. He yelled in frustration.
I smiled, and turned to Nico. My smile slipped off my face immediately.
Nico was staring into Loki's eyes, and he wasn't breaking off. I could see him struggling, but he couldn't move. Will's fingers danced like crazy, but nothing was working. The white's of Nico's eyes started darkening. "Will!" I screamed. "Get away from there!"
He didn't need telling twice. He scrambled towards us, his eyes full of hurt and fear.
I noticed that the skeletons were slowly crumbling to dust. Loki slowly got to his feet. Nico stood up as well, a haunting smile on his face.
"What do we do?" Will whimpered,
"Now," I whispered. "we run."

Sorry for that really late update. I had a very bad case of writer's block. Hope you enjoyed the chapter though.
