Azra

I woke up to demonic screaming, falling bodies and probably some internal bleeding.

I wish I was joking.

It was moments like those that made me realize that my life had changed completely and that I was never going to get my old one back. Those moments lead to me feeling nostalgic over my old life before being snapped back into action.

Anyway, demonic screaming, falling bodies and internal bleeding. I felt a sharp pain in my abdomen, and felt the area with my magic. I set shadows into myself to heal the damage. I felt their cold fingers prodding the wound slowly healing it.

While that was going on, I set my attention to were the screaming was coming from. It was the son of Zeus, Cosmo Spark. His name made me smile. Why would you name your kid that? Do want them to be laughed at or something?

Back to the point, he was screaming so loudly that I could almost see the sound waves. It might have been my exhausted brain playing tricks on me, but I could almost hear words being said. I was probably going mad. I saw my friends and the Avengers falling unconscious. Cosmo didn't last long until he passed out either. I noticed blood leaking out of everyone's ears and nose. My ears and nose seemed to be just fine.

I felt my wound clearing off, so I tried to stand. My jelly-like limbs screamed in protest. I slowly crawled towards the passed out bunch, my mind whirring with thoughts along the way. What was that scream? How did Cosmo know how to do it? Why didn't it affect me? Where is the nearest Halal food place?

My mind thought of important things like that.

That's when I noticed something. The heap lying on the ground that was Cosmo was flickering. Almost like a projection. I froze and blinked a few times, checking to see if what I was seeing was real. He disappeared for a few seconds and reappeared again. I slowly got to my feet, the pain lessening. I took a step forward and something hit me in the gut.

I felt an aura, powerful and uncomfortably close. It was fiery but was also watery, like the two powers were fighting each other. I spun around just as a figure in green reached for me. Loki. And he was holding a knife.

He slashed at me and I twirled to the side. I kicked his wrist as he stabbed towards me sending the knife flying out of his grasp. He snarled and looked at me, allowing me to finally see his eyes.

It was almost like an edited photo. His left eye was sea-green. A when the sunlight hit his face, it looked like he had sales on his face. His right eye was on fire (literally). In his right hand, a small flame danced through his fingers. A big drop of water mirrored its counterpart's actions on his left hand.

I felt bad for Loki. The fire aura was probably another aura taking over. This time, it seemed that the water one didn't want to let go. If there was any part of Loki left, he would probably be on the verge of death.

There must be some way for me to get rid of the creatures in his mind.  I thought. Then I had an idea. If I could get into Loki's mind and drive out the other creatures and leave without harming him, he might be able to reenter his mind. I hadn't ever done something like this before, and there were so many risks. What if I accidentally drove Loki out? What if I couldn't leave his mind? What if the creatures inhabit my mind while I was gone, leaving me inside Loki? There were so many risks.

Just as I was about to make my choice, a cold hand grabbed my wrist and threw me backwards. I hit a tree with a groan. I looked up to see Loki and someone standing next to him. Cosmo Spark. His hair was ruffled and he was smiling. "She never checks behind her, does she?" He mused.

"It seems not." Loki smirked. He walked up to me. "Now tell me, what did you find out?"

"What?" I asked, confused as frick.

Loki sighed. "I knew she would be like this." He held out his hand and Cosmo dropped the knife into his palm. "Listen here Azra. I know that it's probably against your morals to betray your friends' information, but there's no use in playing dumb. Chaos will eventually find out anyway."

"Wait a second. What do you mean, betray my friends' info?"

Loki's eyes widened. "Oh no. She doesn't remember." He muttered to himself.

"What don't I remember?" I asked.

Loki didn't answer. Instead, he took a deep breath and cracked his knuckles. "This is probably why he gave me the ability to remove and replace memories." He murmured.

He then pushed his fingers to resemble and closed his eyes in concentration. His fingers glowed with a pale green light. His eyes snapped open. They now glowed with the same pale green light as his fingertips. As the glow in his eyes intensified, so did the pigment of the green. And as Loki prepared his power, I prepared my plan.

There were so many things that could go wrong, but I'd rather fail than have to deal with the crushing guilt that I could have done something if I didn't. So while Loki's power intensified, I mentally prepared myself.

Just as I was ready, Loki's voice interrupted my thoughts. "You know what, never mind. It's better if you don't remember. Maybe we'll get more results that way."

My mind went into overdrive. What was Loki thinking? What's he up to?

And then Loki slammed his fingers onto my forehead and I pushed myself into his mind.
