Nico

Frank and I popped up in the Hades cabin back at Camp just as the newcomer bell rang. I sighed. "Wonder who's child came along this time." Frank muttered.

As soon as I opened the door, I was greeted with the tearful face of Annabeth. "Is it true?" she sobbed. "Did he really get possessed?"

I suddenly felt very awkward. "How did you know?" I mumbled.

"A- a dream."

I felt bad for Annabeth. This was the second time in a year that she had Percy taken from her. This time, Percy wasn't on a potential ally's side. He was on a definite enemy's side.

I wasn't usually one for hugs, but I reached over and gave Annabeth the closest thing I could give to a hug in an attempt to comfort her. Thankfully, Frank joined in, and Annabeth's sobs finally faded.

"Thanks guys." She murmured as she pulled away. She wiped away the last of her tears and took a deep breath. "We'd better get to Thalia's tree to meet the newcomer."

"True." I agreed.

We walked down to the tree. A boy stood there, around 13. He had a messy mop of black hair and hazel eyes. He had a smirk on his face. A cocky smirk.

I hated this boy already.

"I'm guessing that we have important things to talk about." a voice behind us called.

I turned. Dionysus stood behind us. He had a weird expression on his face, one I'd never thought I'd see on his face.

Fear.

"Follow me." He said, and he walked off to the Big House.

We all sat on the front porch, and the god waved his hand. A dome of grapevines surrounded us.

"Now then. I want you to explain everything."

I sighed. this was going to take a while.

"So,  there is an unknown place that Zeus hid from us called to the Ink, and the monsters that live there have decided to wage war against Chaos, so they kidnapped his daughter. They also sent out a bunch of mind-plaguing creatures out, and they are so powerful that they can take over a god. Even worse, you young Nico, have accidentally sent Zeus there after you made him swear to save Hazel." Dionysus summarised.

"Yup." I replied.

"There's just one thing that's bothering me. Why take Hazel along?"

"Well sir," Annabeth explained. "I think that they want to take over Olympus. By waging war against Chaos, they could easily say that Zeus ordered them to, since he locked them in there in the first place. Chaos would destroy Olympus, and place the monsters to take over."

"Thanks Annie Bell. But I had another idea." Dionysus said. "What if they want the Olympians to be the sole rulers of the world. No one above them."

When Annabeth opened her mouth to contradict, he continued. "I mean, They could lure Chaos there with his child, and by telling the Olympians that Chaos took Hazel, everyone could pounce on him at once. I mean, someone was going to have to rescue Hazel at some point."

Annabeth closed her mouth. "That's not a bad idea. I mean, it makes sense. In a twisted, weird way."

Dionysus smiled. Like actually smiled. Not a secretive smile, a warm smile. "I do have Athena as a half-sister. And  I have to take care of you nerds, so things start to rub off." Even his words were soft.

I think it's safe to say that today couldn't get anymore surprising.

Just then, a massive BOOM sounded outside the dome. A man-sized hole burned away, making a hole to the open.

Zeus stood outside the dome. He was in tatters, but he still carried two people in his arms. Hazel and Azra.

"NICO DI ANGELO." He boomed. "I AM GOING TO SMITE YOU IN 20 SECONDS UNLESS YOU GIVE ME A GOOD REASON WHY I SHOULDN'T."

Looks like I was wrong.

Sorry for the late update. I had a bit of a writer's block.
