Chapter 9: Dressing up and Having Brunch

I woke up a second time. 9am. No more time to sleep. I told myself. "Sarah, what are the colours for today?" I asked as i got out of my room. "Dress up as a Disney charachter!" she called from downstairs. I'll dress up as Maleficent. I thought. As if she heard what I was thinking, Sarah added quickly, "Preferably not  villains." Alrighty, then. I'll dress up as Aurora, in a nice pink dress. Better text Anna. I got my phone and texted her.

To: Anna Williams :)
>> Hey,  Anna! Dress up as a Disney charachter.
I'll explain later. See you in two hours!

>> Okay I'm dressing up as Jessie from ToyStory.
Make sure no-one else does. Who are you dressing up as?

I'll tell everyone else not to dress up as Jessie.

I went downstairs and told Kelly, Sarah, Skye, and Jessica who Anna and I were going to be dressed up as. "I was actually thinking Maleficent," I told Kelly. She laughed. "I wanna dress up as Maleficent." Sarah sighed and said, "I'll say it again. No. Villains." Kelly grinned and said, "Aww, to bad. I'll just dress up like a modern Snow White, then." I smiled. "Nice. What are you dressing up as, Sarah?" I asked. "Belle!" she exclaimed. We're grown up girls. We've grown, but we're still girls. We still love dressing up as princesses. "What about you, Jess?" I asked. "Hmm, I don't know. I was thinking Belle, but Sarah said it first." she replied. "Sorry!" said Sarah. "Maybe... Cinderella." she smiled. "And I'll be Mulan, since I have black hair." said Skylar. "Alright, so I'm Aurora, Jessica is Cinderella, Sarah is Belle, Kelly is Snow White, Anna is Jessie, Skylar is Mulan, and Beck is....?" I said laughing. "Beck will be himself. We need one normal person in our group." Kelly laughed. "No fair. You get to be fair princesses from far away kingdoms and I'm just plain old Beck?" Beck whined. We all laughed. Except him. "You can ge a frog prince." I teased. I and the girls giggled. "Fine, I'll be me." he sighed. "I'll go home and change into Cinderella. I'll be back in half an hour more or less." Jessica said, glancing at the clock. 9:30 in the morning. "Alright." I said. She walked out the backdoor. "Wait, I didn't bring any fancy clothes!" Kelly said. "I didn't bring anything, either." said Skye. I smiled. "It's alright. You can borrow clothes from Sarah and me." I told them. "Awesome." Kelly said. "Thanks, Nikki!" Skye said. "Let's go to my room first. If you don't find anything there, go to Sarah's. Or you can pick and compare." I said and we walked up to my room.

*30 Minutes Later*

Skye and Kelly were dressed. Not too fancy, but really pretty. Skye was wearing a long green dress, and had a pink cardigan over it. She wore a yellow tube underneath the dress because the neckline just went down. Wayyyy too much. She had yellow teardrop earrings, gold cuff bracelet with a green gem in the middle. She tied her black hair in a messy bun and chose a floral green bag, and wooden sandals that each had a big green flower. Kelly wore a pale blue frilled blouse, and a long yellow skirt. She chose a printed silk purse with blue and yellow birds on it to go with the whole "Snow White" theme. She picked out red pumps, a red gem necklace and matching earrings, a red wrap bracelet with golden hearts on it, and a gold-ish ring with a red apple on it. She left her hair alone. She never did anything with her hair other than brush it, wash it, and curl it. "Alright, Sarah and I am going to change. Jess could be here any minute." I told them. "Alright." They sat down ate Lipkies. I walked up to my room and looked around my pink dresses. There were several. I pulled out a strapless one. No, too modern. Not enough classic princess in it. I put it back and picked out another one. Too poofy. Another dress. Too plain. Another one. Too fancy. I kept pulling out dresses and putting them back until I found the perfect one. Not too poofy, not too plain, not too fancy, just silky and pink and light and breezy. Sweet and simple. Perfect. I did my usual make-up. A little lip tint, a little lip gloss, and a little bit of blush. I curled my hair and tied it up, leaving a few loose strands that were too short anyway. I asked Sarah to fix it up. "Perfect!" I said, smiling. "Thank you, Sarah!" she took a step back and gasped. "Oh, Annikka, you look just lovely!" she said, taking my shoulders and spinning me like Kelly does. I picked out some pink heels. "You look lovely too." I told her. She was wearing a pretty yellow dress, yellowish gold heels, basically a less poofy Belle outfit, minus the gloves. "Can you do my hair? The way you did yours yesterday?" she asked. I smiled. "Sarah, of course I'll do your hair!" I said. She sat down at my dresser and I took her hair and tied it lightly, ruffling it a little bit. "There you go." I said. "Thanks, Nikki!" she said. "No problem, Sarah." I smiled. I looked at the time. 10:45. We went downstairs and Beck was about to take a picture of the four of us all dressed up when someone knocked on the door. I glanced at the clock. 11:02. Anna's here. I opened the door. We stared at each other for a bit. She was wearing a Jessie -ToyStory dress, a brown leather jacket, a brown and pink cowgirl hat, and leather boots. "Oh my gosh, Anna! You look so cute!" I said. "Nikki, you look lovely!" she exclaimed. "Come in, I'll introduce you to my friends." I said. She stepped in. "Woah," Sarah, Skye, and Kelly said at the same time. "Hi everyone." Anna said quietly. "You like Liam, huh?" Skye said, smiling. "Yes." Anna replied, blushing. "What?" I asked, confused. "I'll explain later." Skyalr said. "Anna, this are my best friend Sarah. We live together. This is my other best friend Kelly and her boyfriend Beck, they're from L.A. they're here for the concert. This is Jessica, my best friend who lives next door, and this is Skylar. She's my cousin, from Mullingar." I said. "Hi, Sarah, Kelly, Beck, Jessica, and Skylar. Nice to meet you. I'm Anna Williams and I absoloutely love each and every one of your outfits. Can I guess who you're dressed up as?" said Anna. "Sure," they said. "Sarah's dressed up as Belle, Jessica is dressed up as Cinderella, Skylar is dressed up as Mulan, Kelly is dressed up as Snow White, and Beck is.... himself?" she laughed. "Absoloutely correct." Beck said. "Anna, come sit down with us. Beck will take a picture." I said. "Okay." she said. She sat down beside me. "One, two, three." Beck snapped a picture. "Are you all ready?" Anna asked as she stood up. "Yup." Jess said, popping the "p". "Let's get in my car. Where do you want to have brunch?" she said. "Who's in the mood for italian?" Skye asked. "Cause I am." We all raised our hands. "Okay. There's an italian restaurant I know, It's nice, with waiters and everything. It would be funny if we walked into a McDonalds with these on." Jessica laughed. We all got into her car. On the way to the restaurant, I told Anna that I used to be best friends with Niall. She didn't believe me at first, then she fan-girled, then she got serious."Oh. He's stupid for not calling you." she said. "When he sees you looking this pretty, he's so gonna want you back." she added. "But I don't want him to like me because I look pretty. I want him to love me cause I'm me, his best friend." I said. "Listen, Nikki. I'm pretty sure he has a reason for not calling you. Let him explain. And I'm also pretty sure he loves you. More than a best friend." Anna told me. I sighed. I hope so. I thought to myself. "We're going to meet them later, after the concert. We'll go last at the meet and greet so you two can talk, okay?" she said. "What? No." I said. "Annikka, promise me you'll talk to Niall and at least become best friends again." Anna said. "No!" I whined. "Annikka, promise me that. Come on! Worst case scenario he'll ignore you. It can't get any worse than it already is. Just give it a try." she said. "Alright, I promise I'll talk to him." I sighed. "We're here!" Jessica said. She parked the car. We got out and walked into the restaurant. "Table for how many?" The waitress asked us. "Six, please." Beck said. "This way." she said, walking to the far corner of the restaurant. "Thank you." I said as we sat down. She handed us menus. "Ooh, I'll have a Chicken Pesto Pasta!" Kelly said. "I'll have a Chicken Pesto Pasta too." said Jess. "Mmmm.... I think I'll have a Lasagna." Skye said. "I'll have a Cheese and Red Sauce Pasta." Sarah said."I think I'll order a Garlic and Shrimp Pasta." Beck said. "I'll have Pepperoni Pizza and Garlic Bread. Who wants to share a large pizza with me." Anna said. "I will." I told her. "No one else wants pizza?" I asked. They all shook their heads. "Okay. I'll have some of your pizza, Anna. I'll order myself some Ravioli." I said. "So we're getting a large Pepperoni Pizza, Garlic and Shrimp Pasta, Cheese and Red Sauce Pasta, 2 orders of Chicken Pesto Pasta, Garlic Bread, and Ravioli." said Anna. "Yep." Kelly said. "What about drinks and desserts?" Sarah said. "Uh, I"ll have a Mocha Latte. Maybe Blueberry Cheescake for dessert." I said. "Iced tea for Beck and me." Kelly said. "And maybe a slice of the Triple Chocolate Cake." she added. "Strawberry Shake and Mango Jelly." Jessica said. "Same as Jess." said Sarah. "Strawberry Shake and a Banana Split." Skye said. "I'll have Iced Tea and a slice of the Banoffee Cake." Anna said. Just then, the waitress came. "Have you decided on what to order?" she asked. Anna gave her our order. "We'll have your order ready in 10 minutes." she said and walked away. "How did you memorize all that?" I asked Anna. "I work at M&S. I have to remember the size, the style, the colour, and other details." she replied. "Wow. You're amazing." I said. She smiled. "Thanks." she blushed. "So, Anna, Kelly, Skye and Jess. Tell me about the rest of the lads in the band." I asked. Skye grinned. "Why, I'd love to! I'll tell you about Zayn." she said. "His full name is Zayn Javadd Malik. Zayn is the one who has his hair brushed up, and hits the hight notes. I'm not sure but a lot of people say he spends hours in front of the mirror. Personally, I think he is the most amazing. He has the longest lashes, his face is scientifically perfect. I'm not just saying that. He is litterally scientifically perfect." she told me. "Anna will tell you all  about Liam." she said, winking at Anna. Anna smiled. "Okay, so like Niall, Liam's middle name is James. His name is Liam James Payne." she started. "He's called the "Daddy" of the group. He's the smart, kind, sensitive, mature one. Liam is afraid of spoons for some reason, and he absoloutely loves ToyStory." she blushed at the last part.

"Ahhh....which explains the Jessie outfit." I raised my eyebrow at her. Nodded and blushed redder. "I'll tell you about my personal favorite, Harry." Kelly said. I saw Beck stiffen. "What about Jessica tells me about him, Kell? Not so sure some lads around here would be comfy with you telling me about him." I told Kelly, giving her a 'listen-to-me-I'm-helping-you-here' look. She nodded. Beck relaxed. Jessica smiled. "Didn't know we had the same favourite, Kelly!" she said. "Anyway, his full name is Harold Edward Styles. He has an older sister, Gemma Styles. His mum's name is Anne, and his dad...... I don't remember. He always has the same curly hair no matter what other hair styles Liam tries. Liam keeps changing his hair. All the time. Harry's hair is actually straight, but he has it curled. He's a little flirty." she told me. "I'll tell you about Louis." Skye said. "Okay." I replied. "His full name is Louis William Tomlinson. His real last name is Austin, but when his mother remarried, he decided to take his step-father's last name. He has four sisters. Louis is a lot like Niall. He's the oldest, but not the most mature. His girlfriend is Eleanor Calder. She's really pretty. They've been together forever. He and Niall are quite the pranksters, actually." she said. I smiled. Niall is quite the prankster."So there. That's Liam James Payne, Zayn Javadd Malik, Harold Edward Styles, ane Louis William -Austin- Tomlinson." Anna said. Just then, the food arrived. "Yum!" Kelly said. We all got our food, then we started eating. In akward silence. They all stared at me. "What?" I said. "Is there pasta sauce on my face? On my dress?" I asked. "No, it's your turn to tell us about Niall. Niall James Horan." Anna said. I sighed and put my fork down. "He's sweet and funny, sensitive. To his feeling and other people's. He's very thoughtful, and he loves food. Pasta, pancakes, and bacon, especially. He loves ice cream." I told them about the time we had a mudfight. The time when he sang to me. The night he kissed me. By time I was done, were done eating as well. Beck called a waiter an asked for the bill. We were all starting to get our wallets out, when Anna stopped us. "No, no, no. I'm paying for this." she said. "What? Anna, no!" I said. "Come on! Let me. You can pay for something another time. I really want to pay for you, you're all very nice. Especialy you, Nikki." she said. "Nobody takes out their wallets besides me." she ordered. We did as she said. "Alright. It's almost time for the concert. Let's get going right after I pay." she said. I glanced at the clock on the restaurant wall. Half past twelve. We got into the car. Jessica turned the radio on.

I turned it off. "Let's play something else." I said. I connected my phone to her car speakers, and played the playlist I named Broken Love and put it on replay. The songs in it are:
