"Lucky! C'mon, we gotta run. The bombs are getting closer." Kat looked back at me, she tried her best to give me a smile and I knew I had to run for her.
I ran as fast as my little legs could take me. I hopped over little rocks and fallen trees.
I looked behind me and could faintly see the broken city. Oddly I found the scene quite beautiful, the dust made the sun light look like a beam of light, shooting through the clouds.
I looked up at the trees and saw the planes, the navy blue wings shot around and I saw the blur of bullets flying, the banging and the screaming of people being shot.
It was truly horrible, the thought of so many people losing their lives. It truly sickened me.
"We're almost there! Jan and AJ said they'd meet us at the lightening tree. It's just around the cor-" "BOOM!"
The fourth bomb dropped, closer than every other one.
I couldn't think, let alone move. I could hear Kat's voice slightly. "Lucky! Please come here! Lucky where are you? P-please!"
That's when it hit me. Literally. The tree I was standing next to crashed down on my hind legs. I cried and whimpered.
"LUCKY NO!" I heard her footsteps crash through the forest.
She kneeled down and started bawling her eyes out. She pat my head and managed to get out "Y-you'l-l be fi-fine."
Her tears dripped onto my bloody fur, the saltwater stinging.
"I-I'm going t-t-to move the tr-tree o-over."
She started pushing on the tree, trying to roll it off of me. I whimpered as more pain shot through my body.
She kept trying to move it, going from different angles and pushing as hard as she could. I knew she was trying to help but it just made the pain worse.
"I'm going to the lightening tree to get Jan and AJ. I won't leave you buddy. I'll be back soon." She patted my head and gave me a weird awkward hug. "I love you buddy"
She turned a corner and left.

5 minutes
I counted the seconds, the minutes, trying to keep my mind off of the pain.
10 minutes
15 minutes
The world was slowly going black. My vision was getting blurry, a black circle slowly getting smaller and smaller.
Until all I saw was
Black.

Just letting u know I'm gunna be horrible with updates. This took me 2 weeks. And I get writers block a lot so... sorry if lots of chapters are short/suck.
