Pug Of War

Chapter 3

First of all I want to say sorry for not updating I've been busy and I've been looking for a co-author and I finally found one! Her name is Jenna and her personal wattpad is @pugsareawesome6304 from now on we will be updating every Sunday and some Wednesday's. So from now on Jenna (co-author) and I will make sure that there is a new chapter for you to read.

Also thank you all sooooooo much for 150 reads! I honestly can't believe it since I almost never update.

Recap of what happened last:

Kat and Lucky were walking in the forest when Kat saw someone in the trees. Lucky looks up and sees blue eyes.

It was a boy, a crystal eyed boy. He was about Kat's age. When he saw me he whisper-yelled, "Puppy!"

I just stared at Kat who was still breathless. She looked up, " Jacob?" She questioned.

"Kat?", He responded. "Is that you?" He asked.

"Me and Lucky." she responded.

He smiled faitly and hopped down from the spot in the tree. His blond hair swung over his face like waves in the ocean. He looked at me and squated down to pet me.

I liked him, he was gentle. We heard another faint gun noise. Kat immediately responded, " We have to go, Jacob." He quickly picked me up and ran.

We built a shelter. Apparently Jacob went to this survival camp. It started to rain as soon as we got in the homemade fortress. Just great, I thought.

We sat and Jacob made a small fire in a corner. I lay down on Kat's lap and relaxed for the first time today.

I've been on edge since the war started a few days ago, but now that Jacob is here I can tell that things will be better.
I also know that Kat is super happy that we found Jacob since they had been best friends for a long time now, and she has had a huge crush on him for a while now.

They looked at each other and then as they turned around I saw them both blush.

Today was a good day and I'll take the small victories. We may not know what will happen tomorrow but for now we are warm, happy, and safe
