Chapter Two: Having Some Fun

Peeta just closed the oven door when I grab the bag of flour sitting on the counter and throw a handful at him. He looks suprised. "You better run." I take off knowing what is going to happen next. Peeta grabs the other bag of flour and takes off after me. He grabs me and pulls me back downstairs to the kitchen. Then a war breaks out we both just start running around the kitchen throwing flour at each other. About 30 minutes later Haymitch walks in. Our kitchen is a MESS! "What is going on in here?" Before Haymitch can say anything Peeta and I grab a handful of flour and throw it at him. He stops a minute to look at his white powdery body and then runs over to Peeta and throws flour at my face. I laugh, get some flour in my hand walk up to him and blow the flour in his face. I hear the door open but I don't look. "Having fun in here I see." I know it's Johanna. "Johanna come here and help me." "I'm all for covering those two in flour." We all laugh. We go for about another 30 minutes until you can't tell who's who. I feel someone grab me by the wrist upstairs into a room and close the door. I clear my eyes to where I can see and I see Johanna standing there looking nervous. "Katniss I have something to tell you." "What?"

"I'd rather tell everyone downstairs." "Ok, can I get cleanded up first?" "Yeah." I go take a quick shower and change clothes. I walk back downstairs and see Peeta and Haymitch walking upstairs to clean up. "I hope Haymitch uses a different shower than Peeta." When I say this I get a laugh from Johanna. I haven't seen her laugh or have this much fun in so long. The boys come back down. "Sit down I have something to tell you all." says Johanna. "I'm getting married." "Oh that's wonderful news!" I say getting up to hug her. I think I see a tear run down her face. When we pull apart I see she is crying. I don't think I have ever seen her this happy before. "Who are you marrying?" "His name is John Richard." "When is the wedding?" "June 5th." I kinda frown at the date because I'll be so big. "Ok, my turn." I say looking at Peeta. He gets up and walks over to me. "I'm pregnant." Haymitch and Johanna smile and hug us. "So, another one?" says Haymitch. "You two just can't stop." says Johanna. I look at her with a look and she puts her hands up. "Alright I surrender." She says. "Good. Go clean the kitchen." I say. Haymitch laughs mocking Johanna as she walks to the kitchen. "You too Haymitch." He growls at me and walks to the kitchen. "Why do we have to do this?" "Because I'm pregnant and Peeta is going to help you now." Peeta looks at me suprised. "Go on now." He laughs and they all clean up the kitchen.
